Remarks

The candidates have to give an entrance exam JEE-Main. The details of JEE-Main can be found on its official site or on the site of NTA which conducts such entrance exams. The candidate must get a stable percentile to get admission to this college. The admission process is carried out by JOSAA which allows the seat according to our ranks in JEE.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The couse curriculum is nice. The branch is a bit related to robotics . Its main base is semiconductors . One of the major reasons for choosing this branch was that I was only getting alloted this branch as per my rank . And further my research also proved that among all the branches that I can get , this ones the best .

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 164000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Various companies such as Microsoft and amazon come here to hire for internships. The stipend is different on the basis of your job role or on the basis of the company you get into. Moreover, it depends on the student what stipend he or she gets based on the skills they have developed.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell is also nice. Many big companies come here to hire students and the packages offered by them are also quite nice. Approximately 90% of students get placed every year. The highest package this year was 44 LPA and the average was approximately 7 lakhs for the ICE branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is pretty decent. Compared to other private colleges with very high fees, NIT J has many more affordable fees. Further, there are benefits on fees according to the family income. There are three criteria , below 1 lakh, between 1-5 lakh, and above 5 lakh.

Campus Life

Campus life is also pretty decent. Hostels are nice enough . There are multiple canteens , night canteens . Sports facilities are also pretty nice . The campus consist of various outdoor grounds as well as indoor places . Further the main annual fest include Utkansh , Techfest . Further various clubs are also here for fun .

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are pretty nice. The campus consists of 9 boys and 4 girls hostels. The mess food is as it is a mess but still it is pretty much better than other colleges. The registration for the hostel is pretty simple, all details are asked at the time of admission only and further hostels are much more affordable too.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
