Course Curriculum Overview
As it is the soul of all embedded machinery, things like Alexa & Google assistant are IoT-based, and EC is going to be an important part of the coming tech zone. As I am more fascinated by IoT, I chose it. Here is an overview of strengths in college: UG: 4500+ PG: 1600+ Research Scholars: 1180+ Departments: 20 Faculties: 362 Publications: 10k+ Professors are very nice & the main thing about most of them is, they listen to students and plan the classes & exams as per everyone's feasibility. Tests & exams are conducted here more frequently, but yes. they are short, and most of the subjects will judge you throughout the academic session. Midsems & Endsems are held. Exam papers are way well designed if a student listens in class, and does assignments on his own, with a practice of PYQs before the exam will get him a good result.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered by Top companies, like - Google, Microsoft amazon, Flipkart, Hotstar, AMD, intel, Qualcomm, Mediatek, TCS, Infosys, and Accenture, IBM, Barclays, etc. Flipkart, Hotstar approached college with a 1lakh stipend.
Placement Experience
After the 4th semester, internship offers come to college, companies approach college. companies like - Microsoft, Amazon, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Samsung, Qualcomm, AMD, Adobe, Mediatek, and Intel are famous here. Companies like Flipkart, and Hotstar offered a 1lakh per month stipend, in internship. in 21-22. For placements, The highest package this year is 46.04 LPA from Microsoft for 12 students, followed by Amazon 44 LPA and NVIDIA, AMD too offered descent packages In top branches nearly 97% + get placed. Other branches depends.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees are 8 Lakh for those whose family income is 5LPA+. And for the remaining income groups, the fees are designed accordingly. The tuition fees get reduced up to 100% for some income groups too. Scholarships like FFE has a separate group too for NITR, all the FFE scholars get help and discuss things there. Some more scholarships like NSF and Vidyaarthi are being referred. Internships are well offered. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, TCS, Barclays, Samsung, and Goldman Sachs come here. Recently two students got selected for GSoC too. So opportunities are unlimited, Hardwork is what students have to do with consistency.
Campus Life
In april , Techfest ( Innovision) , & Cultural Fest (Nitrutsav) are veing held . Competitions & contests are held. Students get cash prizes. E sports fest (Vriddhi) is the spirit of the Fest culture of NITR. SSC is there to hold all clubs. There are 60+ clubs with Google Student Developer Center ( GDSC ) which provides android development courses, for free. Clubs like SDG, LEO exist which are based on social services.
Hostel Facilities
Table Chair Bed, a cupboard in a room with a window. The meal is the best among NITs. Daily in breakfast eggs is there, 5 days nonveg weekly. They allot hostels on their website, Student Profile, NITR is good.
