Remarks

The campus is ragging free so you can interact with anyone inside the campus freely. Management is very much strict so sometimes you may feel like you are in school rather than college, but overall management is very good and supportive.

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE(Not qualified), AIEEE(162), VITEEE. Vit is one of the leading private universities with a lot of opportunities, so I decided to go to VIT. Also, a lot of seniors recommend me for VIT, as they told me that the placement is good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

VIT gives a unique facility for selecting your course called an FFCS system, where students got a chance to select their faculty, courses, and venue from given options. So overall the curriculum is very good and up to the mark. And due to the FFCS(fully flexible credit system) students have very much flexibility.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, many companies offer internships and there is a range of stipends offered based on the companies standard and requirements. Companies like Cisco, Microsoft, Danfoss, Intel, etc give a good amount of stipend and some other companies like Johnson control, Wipro, Infosys, etc also give internship but they offer less amount of stipend.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is very good for CSE, IT and ECE branches a large number of companies come and hire in a large amount (based on their requirements) also usually they offer good CTC. A Large number of students getting placed in Dream companies. But in the case of other branches like EEE, Mechanical, Civil, etc are having good placement opportunities but not as good as CSE and IT branches.

College Events

3.5

On regular basis, different chapters of the university organize various events. But these are not very big events. Two events Gravitas and Rivera are big ones. Gravitas is a Technical event where various technical competitions are organized by students and many colleges participate in it. Whereas Rivera is a cultural event and it is considered as one of the best cultural events in India, many live performances by various reputed celebrities are organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When I enrolled myself the fee was 1,17000 so considering the infrastructure of the VIT and the placement opportunities it is not bad and so I consider it feasible. But now a day the fees have been increased a lot, there is a hike of around 60,000 in the fee. So now it is not considered as feasible right now.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no good scholarship offered for all the students, but they offer free education to one student from each district of Tamilnadu. They also offer some kind of scholarship to financially deprived students, but the number is limited.

Campus Life

4

Campus infrastructure is very nice and the gender ratio is not so good maybe around (60:40). There a 3 big grounds and so people can play but the timings are restricted. Labs are well equipped and you can work in your free time if you have some kind of project or work. A large number of clubs like robotics, IEEE, animation, etc are present inside the university and they used to conduct a lot of activities. So usually people used to get engaged in various extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel Facilities is good but as the number of students is high so sometimes it seems like too much of a crowd on the campus. But the rooms are good and the buildings are nice and management is serious about the cleanliness so you will find the campus very clean. Coming to the mess food, usually, the food is good but sometimes they compromise with the quality of the food. But overall I am very much satisfied with the mess food.

Alumni/Alumna

The placement cell keeps a record of all the placed alumni and the VIT management team will keep track of each and every student passing out of the university. And you can contact the management if you require any kind of help from the seniors.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is divided into two parts External and internal exams, both compromise of 50 marks. The internal exams are consist of various exams like cat(comprehensive assessment test) exams and another one is quizzes. The external exam is having only one paper and one needs to score 40% in that exam otherwise they will not pass.

Admission

I have given VITEEE and got selected on the basis of ranking. As my rank was on the merit list so they call me for counseling and during the counseling process I decided to select the Electrical and Electronics branch, the process is very transparent and yes there is a non-refundable counseling fee.

Faculty

3.5

There is a high standard for the selection of faculty and it is conducted by the VIT management team. Usually, most of them are having a Ph.D. degree or at least a master's and has many research papers. Senior faculties have many years of experience in teaching and they are extremely expert in their particular subject.
