Remarks

Yes Although We have a lot of fun in college Boy and girls can never get close. There should be no physical contact other than a handshake. And with the increasing no of students in every branch, the teacher-student ratio is worsening!

Entrance Preview

Getting into VIT is solely through VITEEE which is held around March-April every year.I gave VITEEE in 2017 and got an AIR 760.I was thrilled by my result and I chose this college because of its reputation as one of the premier institutes of the country with high placements and research.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is very well balanced with a focus on research. Mostly, all colleges have a common curriculum for their First-Year students. The same goes for VIT. You have to go through, English For Engineers (Goes fine if you have a nice teacher) Modern Physics (The class you mostly doze off in) Computer Programming and Problem Solving (The Part you love the most) Mechanical Workshop (Cool mech. things to do) Multivariable Calculus (Depends on your love for Math) Basic Electrical and Electronics (I hated it, I hate electronics) One Foreign Language (I had german,it was Wunderbar) Engineering Chemistry ( I had a nice teacher, so it went well) Engineering Graphics (Subject that sucks the most) and respective labs for the above given subjects. This was first Semester The Second Sem goes like this:- Environmental Studies Electronics (As you must have guessed, I hated this too) Digital Logic (CSE people love this) Programming Fundamentals (Loved it..) English for Engineers 2 There are various clubs like Literary Club,Art Club Technology Club etc which helps in all round development of Personality.

Internships Opportunities

Most people do their internships in the third year to fulfill the 2 credit implant training requirement to get their degree. Some people who have prerequisite knowledge do apply in the second year. You must apply on your own, but the information is generally relayed by the college. There is a B.TECH CSE group on Google for each year. A few professors regularly send in information about competitions, internships, etc. You can also check out Internshala or other similar internship websites. If you happen to be doing research under some faculty, you can ask your faculty for referrals as well. That apart, if you can apply directly to any firm. But you must contact your program chair to check if your internship meets the University norms so your credit fulfilment does not get impaired. The general stipend hovers around 20k to 30k Rupees.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Each semester consists of 3 quizzes, 2 CAT(continuous assessment test), and 1 Term-end exam. Each quiz is of 5 marks in the overall score in a particular subject. Each CAT is conducted for 50 marks which are reduced to 15 marks each. The term-end exam is conducted for 100 marks and is converted into 50.

Fees and Financial Aid

Of course! Scholarships are provided by the VIT to students who do good in VITEEE. The Board toppers of various states get a 100 % fee waiver. If you are poor also, no need to worry. But to get the scholarship you should score well in the examinations conducted by the college at frequent intervals

Exam Structure

Exams are both Semester end and also regular tests are also taken to ensure that a student has revised the previous concepts well I would not call it hectic but one has to work hard. Other than that, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy life at VIT and one should do enjoy it!

Admission

After the results are out, candidates have to apply for counseling at any of VIT's 4 branches (AP, MP, Vellore, and Chennai). And a demand draft of Rs.50k is to be submitted. On the first-day students from AIR 1 to AIR 5000 were called. It was over by 4 hours. I got BTech CSE as I loved this subject.

Faculty

3.5

There are many teachers ready to help you anytime you want. Cooperation with a dedication to clear your doubts will make you their biggest fan. It has been an honor for me to be a part of this multi-cultural diverse family of VIT and I am very sure that you will be amazed to be a part of its magnificence in every aspect. All the best!!

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.
