Remarks

interested Students have to submit their viteee applications which cost around 1100 and have to sit for viteee entrance exam. Based on the marks you get in the exam you will be given ranks according to which you will be given options to choose various courses and based on the student's rank they will be divided into various categories and have to choose seats during the counselling process. The students can find the application form on the official website of vit(vit.ac.in).

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose ECE because it is an evergreen course, you can get trained and professional in both hardware and software and I thought I would get a good career opportunity with this degree. Faculty to student ratio is not that bad. There will be 1 faculty available for every 65-80 students. The faculties that teach in vit are quite experienced and have really good knowledge on the subject. They teach in innovative ways through which students can understand the concepts easily. There will be internals and externals conducted in vit. internals include 2 midterms( cat1 and cat 2), assignments and quizzes whereas external or the end-term exam (FAT) is conducted at the end of every semester ( i.e, November for fall sem and march - April for winter sem)

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships are offered by various companies, Google, Amazon, and many other companies provide internships with stipends. The roles offered by these companies during internships are social media manager, web developer, professional coder, research intern, etc,

Placement Experience

4

Students of Btech courses will be eligible to sit for placements from the end of their 6th semester onwards. Really good companies come to vit to offer jobs with really good pay. Some of the companies that visit during placements include Paypal, google and TCS. The avg salary is 8lpa. Almost every student gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee structure for btech students of VIT is divided into five categories, Category 1 - 1,98,000, category 2 - 3,07,000, category 3 - 4,05,000 , category 4 - 4,48,000 and category 5 - 4,93,000. The fee structure is quite high for a normal person to afford. You can apply for various scholarships and financial assistance and some of them are provided by the university only but the competition for these scholarships is quite high.

Campus Life

4

Two fests will be conducted every year technical fest and the cultural fest. the technical fest is known as Gravitas and the Cultural fest is known as Rivera. There is also another fest known as prime vera, it's not completely a fest it can be called a fresher's welcome party. The technical fest Gravitas is conducted usually in the month of September and the cultural fest Rivera is conducted in the month of February every year. There are quite a good number of books available in the central library of vit. the classrooms in VIT are spacious enough and there are a very good number of sports facilities in vit.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Rooms in vit are classsified into 2 types, AC room and Non AC room.I would prefer anyone who is reading this to take an AC room cuz vellores dry heat is quite bad and its really hard to survive in vit in an non-ac room. The mess food quality is up to the mark and eatable. The registration process for hostel and mess in vit is done through ffcs(first come first serve). Fastest fingers first.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
