Remarks

The college management is good. Every information is shared to students via email and sms service. There is a proper process for applying requests in college. There are feedback forms for improvement after every semester. Receipt is generated for every payment. Management takes care of campus to make it absolutely clean and smoke free campus. College looks after the needs of the students and provides leave forms accordingly. College management treats girls and boys equally, stringent rules apply for all.

Entrance Preview

Christ University conducts entrance test, then Personal Interview and Micro Presentation. One qualifies for personal interview after the entrance test. The micro presentation is the part where a certain topic is given and the student has to speak for about a minute. I opted for this college because of Christ University, Bangalore is among highly ranked colleges of our country. Here, the curriculum of BBA Course is different and better than other colleges, it has varied aspects along with electives, which a student studies to have knowledge from courses too. Here professors to put in extra effort to make us understand topics which will help in near future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very encouraging. The first two semesters have electives inbuilt into the normal college hours. Other than this, if student has interest into studying some other electives too. They can opt for it via the college login. These electives take place after college hours. Credits are included in the mark-sheet of that semester. 3rd semester, the curriculum is based on making student have knowledge about all three electives of final year- namely Finance, HR and Marketing. 4th semester has subjects which helps to write research paper. Students are also made aware of information analysis software. Various sorts of projects are also done by students which makes them gain insight on entrepreneurship, Industry review, working in NGO for a few days and finally Research project in final year. There is internship in the summer vacation between 4th semester and 5th. Here a student has to work for a minimum of 6 weeks without fail. The students studying here go through rigorous process of learning and practical experience.

Internships Opportunities

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley had come for an internship for BBA and b.com students. Thomson Reuters had come only for b.com students. The also have a similar process of entrance test and then group discussion and finally Personal Interview. Basically, they are given a certain lump sum amount as stipend as well as if the performance of the student in overwhelming, then a job letter.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and Job opportunities are high. If one has taken good care of his academics and has scored a percentage above 60%, which is nowadays the 'considered minimum' to get into any company, will get the job. Many a company comes for placements and outside campus placements are also high. The packages for companies which come into the colleges range between 2.8 lakhs to 7.8 lakhs in average. Many companies come with higher salaries too.

College Events

5

Fests are many, every department have got their internal fests which go on throughout the year. Management dept holds Espirit as an intercollegiate fest, similarly Commerce department holds Prayas. On cultural fest, we have darpan, we have blossom and inbloom, Our college also holds various sports fest. Coleges holds various MUNs and other sessions too. Colleges from round the country participates in the fests. The management fests are also held online associated with university in abroad, so students from all over the world participate in it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. It has been set as per course and its specializations. Courses from professional departments are expensive, but college helps you pursue the additional courses along with the normal curriculum. Fees go on in descending way. First-year has gone the highest fees, reducing and the same in 2nd and 3rd years. The fees are different for SAARC countries and International students. The students can explain their financial

All girls wear salwar suit and dupatta, students from different countries are allowed to follow their own dress code.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facilities for girls and International students are inside college. Boys hostel is present in the neighbourhood beside it but, most students are staying in pg near the college. Pg provide basic accommodation with facilities of free wifi, washing machine, 3 times food and 2 sharing or 3 sharing living facilites. Alumni/Alumna

The number of Alumni the college has got is 42000+. Every year the alumni meet is on 26th of January. The senior students are very helpful. They are welcoming towards the juniors. Seniors come to the class for skill development sessions. There is no ignorance or partiality or anything from seniors side. Infact, seniors are ready to explain solutions or better ways to deal with issues juniors facing, in field of studies as well as other things.

Exam Structure

Days are busy due to many continuous internal assessments (CIA) but at end, they have improved our knowledge in business field to a greater extent. CIA have gave us insights into various companies and their working, their structure, their governance policy and many others. CIA are also given as group assignments, where the leadership role is also put to test along with team player role. There are 3 cia in a semester, one of them being mid term examination and a final term examination at the end of the semester.

Admission

The admission application is available in its website by December 2nd week every year. Generally, it comes out on 8th of December. The applications forms are also available in college counter. The colleges create an application id- where a student can check present status and all necessary details about application form. The college also sends acceptance mail and receiving mail of application when sent online filled form printed. The admission process starts in April every year. The applicant has to sit for the entrance test. Next day onwards, the interview process starts. The applicant in his allotted time has to come for an interview. Applicant turn may come after a day or more as per the schedule. It is notified to him through email. He will be asked questions related to his academics and questions to know why that candidate wants to study in this college.

The faculty of the college is very good. Professors and asst. professors are all very qualified. All have got working industry experience, so it helps to provide real time examples and keep the course curriculum up to date with the recent needs in the industry.

Placement Experience:

I have not yet attended any of the placement scenario, so I cannot say much about the placements. I also do not know correctly about the percentage of students placed. There are various companies that come to our campus for interviews. There are around 40-50 companies that are welcomed. Some of them are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HCL, HP, and so on. The average package can roughly be like Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.
