Eligibility of Candidates must have passed higher secondary (10+2) with minimum qualifying marks with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ as the third subject + WEBJEE. Application form, fees, and dates all are available on WBJEE's official website Reservation is available only for home state candidates in categories SC, ST, OBC etc. For other states reservations are not available

I chose this college for two reasons One is that it is a government college and one of the best colleges in West Bengal The second college fee is very less. The faculty and student ratio is good like And all the faculty teachers are qualified Exam time is on time and passing the exam is difficult because passing marks is 50 per cent. But if you are studying well in your semester then it is easier to pass the exam and teachers are good they suggest that which topic you need to do for exam

Like all engineering colleges in our college after 3rd year you are eligible for campus placement. How are the placements at Calcutta University for CSE and ECE? The Placement of CSE and IT is very good this year 2022 2022 batch placement for CSE/IT. Siemens 20 Lpa, Credit Suisse 18 Lpa, Accolite 12 Lpa,Accenture 10 Lpa, Alumnus software 10 Lpa, L&T infotech 8 Lpa,persistent systems 9 Lpa, CESC 8 Lpa, IBM 7.25 Lpa,PwC 8.4 Lpa, GBS 6.5 Lpa,TCS digital 7.2 Lpa,cognizant GenC Next 6.75 LPA plus other companies like distronix, Mindtree, TCS Ninja, Infosys, cognizant, simpsoft etc. This is on campus Placement record A lot of students got off-campus Placement and students there from CU easily get placed in MNCs like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Adobe, and Goldman Sachs..with salaries over 27 LPA because of the in-depth knowledge they gain in CU, which also helps them to crack GATE, CAT UPSC with the top result. Fees and Financial Aid

Fees of the college are very less like in 20k approx you complete your 4yrs BTech course. The college does not offer any scholarships. But you are eligible to get any kind of state and central scholarship which will help you get the college like for West Bengal student SVMCM and for another state National Scholarship also private scholarships etc.

Campus Life

Cultural fest and sports event organised by our senior in the month of November. In our 1st year 2 books are available for 14 days at a time after 14 days we have to pay penalty. All kinds of course books are available in different editions for different authors. We have groups like coding groups etc.

Hostel Facilities

We have so many hostels in our hostel up to 3rd year all rooms are triple shareable. after 3rd-year single rooms are present. In-room one single bed, one desk, chair light, fan, wifi, electricity available. Infrastructure is good for living. The registration process is a little difficult because University has some conditions like your present address distance is more than 60 km from your college campus. If it is more than you get easily you submit documents with all I'd proof then University published list if you are selected then you will eligible for hostel admission. Meals are good, hygiene. lunch and dinner available. If you want to rent a room than so many options are there like pg, mess, flat.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Likes

The infrastructure of the college is good.I would consider the college as very clean.
The campus life is pretty good but there are strict instructions to freshers to not roam in the campus.

Dislikes

I disliked the condition of the bathroom and the corridor on the first day.
My hostel room was very filthy.The workers charges ₹100 for cleaning it

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

Its our lovely college TIU

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Likes

One of the best things about my college is all the classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The classrooms, labs and even the toilets are cleaned regularly, which really helps to create a comfortable learning environment.
All the clubs of the college remain active all the time no matter whether it's technical clubs or fest related clubs like fun events domain, etc.
The most important thing is that the college is entirely ragging -free. College also maintains a healthy girls to boys ratio.

Dislikes

The classrooms are quite compact compared to the number of students in each class . At times it feels overcrowded and a bit uncomfortable during lectures.
Some of the faculty members are relatively inexperienced. It often feels like they don't have full command over the subject they're teaching, which can affect the overall understanding of important concepts.
Another issue I've noticed is the irregularity in certain subject classes. Not all subjects are taught consistently every semester , and there are high chances of some classes getting missed or not scheduled properly.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible to sit for placements form 7 th semester that is from the beginning of final year. Usually the service based companies come here with cgpa criteria and offer jobs to students.

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Perfect campus for economics student

Admission process are very simple. Generally entrance exam was conducted for admission but I took admission just after COVID so I didn't give any entrance exam. But cutt off was very high. At least 70 percent marks in graduation are mandatory to take admission in this university on the merit basis. Application form are generally found on University official website in August.
