Review of NIT Jalandhar

To get admission to NIT Jalandhar you have to clear jee mains exam. Jossa is counseling for admission to this college. There is a reservation of 50% to the home state, as well as category reservation is also applied during admission. So it will be changed just Because I have secured a rank of 38k in jee mains, and the same student getting my branch by availing the reservation with a 700k rank. So reservations must be removed during at least the Admission process in college.

I choose textile technology because I'm a little bit curious know about the textile industry. But the faculty of textiles is not too good, some of the faculty are good but mostly the faculty only talk about marks. Exams are too tough in nit Jalandhar. There is 3 exam during one semester they are- minor -1, minor -2 & end sem examination.

Students from 3rd year will be eligible for the internship process. Many companies like Amazon, Texas, Trident, and condensation like many more companies come to the campus for a 2-month summer intern and give up to 180,000 rs to complete an internship.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for the placement process. Many big companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung, oracle, Texas, and many more companies come to the campus for the placement process every year. In IT sectors there are lots of opportunity Yes, we can say that there is some lack of companies in the core sector.

The fee is not too much high according to the facility provided in the Institute and campus. The scholarship is also available for those students whose family background is not so good and also 100% scholarship in tuition fee for SC & ST students.

The annual fest is utkansh conducted in March and the tech fest is Techniti conducted in November month. Most books & journals are available in the library also AC reading room is open 24 hrs for students. There are many clubs and societies In the Institute and mostly all of the clubs are run by the Institute. I'm also part of a club "PRAYAAS" where we teach daily 1 hr to the students who can't go to school because of the lack of money.

I'm a hosteler. In the hostel, you have to be given a chair, a table, an almirah, a bed, and a fan only. A washing machine is also available in the bathroom. At this time there is a lack of seats for postgraduate students but 4 hostels are under construction in Institute. Hostel food is compatibility good and you will never be disappointed with this food.
