Admission through JAC Delhi counseling, they have an internal ranking based on the score of JEE Mains entrance exam. The application form is available at JAC Delhi's official site. The admission process had 85% Reservations for Delhi students which should be reduced.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in semi-conductor physics and iiit Delhi has a very good electronic department, with a lot of research opportunities. Students: faculty ratio is around 25:1. Very knowledgeable faculty members, many having Ph.D. from IITs and foreign universities, some faculty members teach very nicely, but some don't. Exams are always conducted on time, and if you study throughout the semester then passing is easy.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Google, Microsoft, and Qualcomm come for the intern roles. The major position is for software intern and for hardware domain is circuit design intern or analog intern. Google and Microsoft give around 1.25 lakh stipend and Qualcomm around 60 thousand.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placement after the 6th semester, and for an internship after the 4th semester. All top companies like Microsoft, Google, tower research, Qualcomm, Mercedes, dell, amazon, myntra, etc. Tower Research provides around 50lakh offers and the average package is around 20 lakh, depending upon a job role like software engineer, data scientist, or electronics engineering. 100% of Students get placed from all branches. Fees and Financial Aid
Semester fees if 1.87 lakh and for a year are 3.75 lakh, but the revised fees for the batch of 2022 were 4.5 lakh per year, and a 10% increment every year. Many financial aids for students from a lower economic background, like scholarships from the Delhi government and merit-based scholarships by iiitd. scholarship varies from 25% to 100% of tuition fees depending upon yearly family income. Students can earn money by becoming TA(Teaching Assistant), for a course and get 10000rs, per semester.
Campus Life
Tech Fest is Esya and the cultural fest is an odyssey. Esya is conducted in August and Odyssey in January. Many books and journals are almost every time available and if the book is not present the library can even buy books on students' demand. They also provide kindles for reading purposes. nice comfy chairs, air conditioner, nice quality speakers, and projectors. There is a sports complex building which has all indoor games, a swimming pool, and a gym. There are many outdoor sports like cricket nets, foot ball grounds, and basketball and tennis courts. Many Clubs like alcoholics, foobar, Meraki, salt, pepper, etc, so overall 20 clubs for finding persons, interests,s and overall development.
