Entrance Preview

VITEEE, the entrance exam for VIT University. I got a rank around 15000 and a scholarship of 25000 PA. This college is one of the best private colleges in India and guarantees a job when you complete your B. Tech.

Yeah, the college provides internships and At least two internships are Required to be done by the students to get the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, scholarships are based on your rank in the entrance exam VITEE. I got a scholarship of 25000 PA for all the four years.

Exam Structure

There are three major examinations. Two CATs and one FAT. CATs have a weigh 15 each and the FAT weigh 40. The rest 30 belongs to assignments.

Admission

After the exam, I got a call from the university regarding the counselling process. I attended the counselling. Students were called rank wise to select the desired branch. Payments were made. Simple as that.

Faculty

There are some good faculties in the University but the language is the main problem.

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

Likes

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students
College provide only theoretical knowledge students for practical skills

It's like Schools .There will be special class if you didn't get much marks like schools .

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
