Remarks

Took admission through CAP rounds on my score in MH CET EXAM. My Score was around 136 and I got selected in round 1 itself. You have to choose and fill out the form on the Maharashtra CET portal. Just documentation process is very hectic.

Course Curriculum Overview

Talking about teaching all institutes usually have some sort of teaching but there are good industry interaction opportunities at geca. The ratio of faculty to students is around 60 students per faculty for the lecture and 20 students per faculty for the lab. Faculty are well qualified mostly all are Ph.D. Visiting faculties are up to MTech qualifications. Exams are conceptual-based based but repetitive question format as compared to last year.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

College asks you to have an internship before the 7th sem to have industry and ground reality exposure. They provide you with platforms and info about places you can register for internships and all. It is great to do site engineering work, etc.

Placement Experience

Students get many opportunities to be placed almost in their 7th semester you can have placement opportunities. For branches like CS, if you have more packages around 10 to 15 lakh for civil highest of around 4.5 lakh, and the average is around 3 lakhs. Around 20% gets placed in civil. I plan to set up a business in the construction sector.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the open category are quite high but they can avail of many scholarships from nsp or many other state portals. Minority scholarships, Ews scholarships, etc. are available and the student section has information all about them.

Campus Life

3.5

Many programs are arranged at regular intervals. A great place to enjoy all your cultural programs. Just the issue is with not enough time given to sports they ask you to not disturb the regular curriculum and do sports on holidays. Eclub for the environment, Umang club, Samaveda club, and many more are there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are very cheap with very better service inside. A meal there is a mix that is nonveg- veg which creates a problem for pure veg students. But they don't force you to have a meal there, you can simply stay in a hostel and have a meal outside. For the pg or room outside you can have many in Usman Pura. The registration process is not very hectic.

Hostel Fee: INR 1250 per year

My perspective about my college!!

Likes

Such a huge campus and it is located not far from the city so bus and autos are always available.
Our canteens serves Misal Pav which is next level.
For a city like Amravati and a college like ours, having a tech fest is a dream but since 2022, we have been hosting a tech event called Techlons.

Dislikes

Crowd is not that amazing as most students are non-serious over here.

Placement Experience:

TCS trains us in the third year and L&T Infotech and TCS are the ones who hired students. Almost half the students were taken by these two companies with an annual salary of 6 lakhs or so. For a freshers to work in such companies is a privilege and I am glad, we get this opportunity at our college.

A Brief Theory Round Of Aissms College Of Engineering

Likes

The campus is quite big and there are proper laboratories for every subject , also the faculty is quite helpful and helps student to settle up and get along so that the teaching and doubt interaction is built up from the starting
We have metro station right outside the gate of college so the travelling is quite simple
It's also good to have a college stationary right inside the campus and with discount too!

Dislikes

The benches are small which kind off makes the students uncomfortable to sit for more than 2 hours in that space
Canteen hygiene is not maintained at all
There's no underground parking for students and lack of space for parking of two wheelers

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in Aissms College Of Engineering in comparison to the other one institute of Information technology. I personally have even saw seniors getting placements when they were in placement round room. And looking at all the boards the college has put up and I can definitely says that the college does get placements and companies do come

Likes

Faculty and teaching assistants are so friendly and are with great experience and wisdom.
Other than education many other activities take place like NCC, NSS, sports competitions, inter IIT competitions, etc.,
Ragging, student and gender abuse are strictly banned

Dislikes

sometimes we have to work till midnight for any tech teams, any assignments, etc., if the submission is not done in proper time. But faculty don't keep any pressure or stress on students to do certain tasks

Placement Experience:

Job placements starts from 3rd year 2 nd semester or 4th year 1st semester. Many Multi National Companies, like Amazon, Google, Sony, etc.,, come to hire students. Almost 70 % of the students get jobs. Atfer completing graduation, few people begin their startups and other businesses with the knowledge gained in the university.
