Remarks

Lovely Professional University - LPU takes admissions based on two criteria's first one is 12th percentage or CGPA the other is LPUNEST - the entrance exam for LPU. However, you can get admission easily if you scored at least 150 out of 420 but your score decides your scholarship too. Application forms can be easily found on LPU's official site - lpu. in and the application fee is 1000 rs. No last date is available for form filling I scored 345 out of 420 in LPU and got a 30% scholarship which varies every year. LPUNEST is currently online and remotely protected, it should be offline.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I loved to explore computers and software from 8th standard and all I know is that I've to explore my future in this field only. The faculty ratio is well maintained but the student intake is very high so there are around 80 students in each class, which is a bit downside. All the faculty of LPU are P.hd and the teaching method is very good also they are helpful. Exams are once in almost 1.5 months and are moderate level.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I don't know much about internships yet, as I'm in 4th sem only. but all I know is that many students got internships with a good stipend. Will Update you about internships as I get some news or will research about it.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are Average i.e 4.5 LPA. the biggest reason for avg. placement is High student Intake. Students can apply for placement services from 2nd year (4th sem) which is optional but mandatory from 3rd year (6th sem). No. of companies visited is very high, almost 1000+ companies visited. Most of the companies are regular. some big MNCs are - Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, Dee Shaw, etc... The highest package is 64 LPA from B.tech and avg. is 4.5 LPA from CSE. 90%+ students got placement here eighter in MNCs or Mass Recruiters. I'm thinking of taking placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think the fees are not so hiked because all the classrooms are AC and Projected also well furnished. extra labs like Matlab and Google Rooms are also provided. I got a 30% scholarship based on the LPUNEST exam. Universities also provide Financial Assistance and also tie up with many banks for a loan. I've not got a job yet.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest of LPU is - Youth Vibe which is generally held in February. There are about 20 lacks+ books in the lupus library which are well furnished and nicely designed. all the course books are available. All classes are well furnished, Projected, CCTV, and Air Conditioners. Sports culter is Excellent at LPU. Almost every sport is available and equally respected. Extracurricular activities at LPU are very Frequent. Many clubs are run by students like - Coding Ninjas, LPU-NSS, Coding Pirates, DYC, DSO, ojaswi, etc...

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms are Nice and enough spaced also maintenance and cleanliness both are frequent. Mess Quality is a bit downgrade. each meal is different but not so good food available. The registration process for hosting is available at UMS site of you and also we opt offline. I've not opted for PG or a room but still, the Locality is LAW Gate. to be honest I don't think that it is a safe place to stay.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
