Remarks

All the students who have completed their Diploma from any of the colleges in India can apply to this college. You can apply to this college with 2 processes one with jee mains for 4 years of programs. And one with LEET for 3 years program. The application form cost is nearly 2200 for LEET students. The application form is available on the website www.sliet.ac.in you can visit here and check the application form it comes in the month of May or June. The college fee is 65000 for the admission fee including 1 semester for the 1st time and the regular semester fee is 35000 including the hostel fee. There are reservations for OBC EWS and SC-ST based on eligibility. The application form is slightly costly this should be reduced to nearly 700-750. One of the major problems for the LEET students of Mechanical and Chemical and some other trade students cannot change there stream. From which stream he/she has completed the Diploma he/she has to continue with the same stream. The cutoff is 40 out of 120

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because I have an interest in it. And it is one of the finest Streams of this college. The placement ratio is also good. The college is provided with a central workshop facility which is Good to improve our practical knowledge. The faculty of the college is well qualified but they are not proper in satisfying the students. There are 113 students in the Mechanical stream through LEET and approx 60 Students through Jee mains. Out of 10, I would review my teacher. All the examination is done on time. And if you are good students you can pass easily.

Internships Opportunities

Some of the company which comes for the placement also offer an internship to students. Some of them provide Stipend and some of them didn't provide a stipend. Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
