Review of Jadavpur University by its own student

To admit to Jadavpur University, candidates have to pass wbjee paper 1 and paper 2 To appear for Paper 1 and Paper 2 (Engineering course), candidates should have passed or will be appearing in the Class 12 examination with the following subjects: Mathematics and Physics (compulsory subjects) Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Application/ Computer Science (any one subject from this list as compulsory subject) And most importantly they should have 70% overall marks in the 10+2 level. After qualifying in wbjee you have to go through the counselling process which is conducted by wbjee.

I am very fond towards physics and new technologies. So I decided to be an engineer. I give various entrance exams and I qualified in wbjee and get admitted to Jadavpur University, one of the most prestigious institutes in India. 8:75 faculty: student in theory classes and 2:25 faculty: student in practical classes. Every professor is highly qualified and a PhD holder. Every professor is good and teaches very well and clears doubts individually. In between every semester 2 class test is conducted. Class tests are a little difficult and up to the point. You have to study to pass the exams.

One can be eligible for campus placement in his/her fourth year. The placement scenario in JU is pretty good. Some famous companies like Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Apple, etc visited this year. In the core sector, some famous companies like Airbus, L&T, etc visited this year. This year highest package offered on-campus is 1.2crpa(made by Google). The average package is 12lpa around. Every year above 85% of students are placed. Many students opt for higher studies and government exams.

Pursuing an engineering degree at Jadavpur University is very much affordable. The fees for 4 years course are only 12000(yes, you read it right it's only twelve thousand). Though there are some scholarships available if cannot bear the fees like- state government scholarships, financial assistance is provided to needy students

Three annual fests are conducted in JU. The fest's name is 'Sanskriti', conducted by Arts, Science, and Engineering departments. You can take part in all fests conducted in JU there are no hurdles to that. Besides that some sports tournaments happen throughout the year. There are many clubs like debating club, science club, entrepreneurship cell, etc. They host different fests, and competitions, throughout the year. There is a central library and a departmental library in every department. You can get every book you want from those.
