Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The b.tech cse course curriculum at SRM is highly comprehensive and covers a wide range of topics in computer science and engineering. It includes subjects such as programming languages, computer organization, data structures and algorithms, computer networks, database systems, software engineering, and more. The curriculum also includes practical projects and internships, which provide students with hands-on experience and the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. I chose this course because I have always been interested in computer science and technology, and I wanted to learn more about how to design and develop software.

Class Size: 122Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There is a vast internship opportunity in the college. Google Amazon TCS Wipro Microsoft cisco Accenture Zoho are the top tech companies that visited the college. Software Engineer and trainee roles are offered with a stipend of 8000 rupees per month. One of the projects I created is about designing a cooking website for the resort.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at SRM varies depending on the program and campus location. Generally, the fees for undergraduate programs range from INR 2.5 lakhs to INR 6 lakhs per year, while the fees for postgraduate programs range from INR 1.5 lakhs to INR 4 lakhs per year. There are several opportunities for scholarships, financial assistance, and campus jobs at SRM. The university offers scholarships based on academic merit, financial need, and special achievements. Financial assistance is also provided to students through loans and grants from banks and other financial institutions. On-campus jobs are also available to students at SRM, with stipends ranging from INR 5000

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the SRM Campus is quite vibrant and active. There are a variety of clubs and organizations that students can join, which cater to a wide range of interests, such as literature, sports, music, arts, and more. The campus also hosts a number of annual events, including the SRM Fest, which is held in December, and the SRM Tech Fest, which is held in March. These events feature a range of activities, including music concerts, sports tournaments, and cultural performances.

Admission

In 12th std, you have to take maths and physics as a subject and have good knowledge of English and communication skills. The application form and application fees and dates are visible on the website of the college. If you qualify for a reservation college will give you the benefits. It is well equipped University with all facilities but the fees are quite high.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

Likes

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
