Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

It is not only a course but the need of the hour. Choosing this course not only boosts your coding skills but also gives you a real-time problem-solving experience. The student-faculty ratio is 40:1 broadly. All faculties are PhD. Some of them make you understand the concept clearly, while for others you need to ponder upon the youtube channels before the exams. The pattern of Exams: 2 minors 1 End sem in a semester. After every 1.5 months, you will come across these examinations and these are not at all easy like what used to happen in school.. so keep your seat belts fastened!!

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 78500 per year

Placement Experience

2.5

OK, it's neither good nor bad. Some MNCs do approach but it's highly based on your skill development. Mostly Tech companies focus on core branches like CSE, IT and ECE. Other branch students can also get offline placement in the same. TCS, Samsung and Amazon are major recruiters.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are extremely nominal and moreover, in an institute like NITJ you will easily get Govt Schemes and loans. Fee hikes are also almost negligible. Anyone be they rich or poor can easily afford a course in NITJ

Campus Life

3.5

College life is extremely chill. You will hardly study for the course you have chosen. Annual and Tech Fest are usually conducted during Springs. They provide you with a lot of activities to deal with. The library is huge, with plenty of books and journals to read by. There is also an online library where you can get access to pdf of any book. The lecture halls are big and have centralized Air- Conditioners and luxurious seats. All classes are provided with a smart board too. There are huge grounds for cricket, football, basketball, lawn tennis and other sports facilities are also available.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostels are not up to the mark. Washrooms are sometimes dirty, you need to wait a long for hot water. Rooms are 10 * 12 ft with accommodation of 2 persons per room. Mess food is not too good. You will surely miss your home food once you come here.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

You need to clear JEE Mains with good percentile only then you will be able to opt seat for NITJ. JEE Mains is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which comes under the programme of GOI. After clearing the mains you need to choose your priorities of colleges through JoSAA. As NITJ is a govt college, Students of backward castes or Economically backward sections get additional benefits.

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
