Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Basically, I have heard about this course from my friends and relatives. It's a deemed university. In vit there are approx 2k professors with great knowledge, most of them are P.hd in their subjects. They explain the teachings very well even though in online classes. They give us regular assignments based on our learnings and explain to them to correct our mistakes. In each semester we have 2 midterms referred to as CAT 1 and CAT 2 and an end sem. Each semester takes a time period of about 5 months. In vit if we are not able to understand the material given by faculty then there are options that we have access to all the material of other faculties too.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many companies that provide technical as well as HR internships in college such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Maruti, TVs, texas and many more the average stipend go up to 40k for 2 months.

Placement Experience

5

There are placements in our college, it's quite good. we are eligible from the 6th semester itself for placement and there are pool interviews from companies through which placement is done and the student goes to the field in which he or she fits for. companies like google, amazon Microsoft, Flipkart, Samsung, LG, tcs, and Wipro, come for placement. the highest packages go up to 40lpa in cse and 25 for branches like eee, ece, and eie whereas for mech civil and chemical, the highest is 20lpa. the overall avg package of vit is 7lpa. here 80% of students are placed and some of them opt for higher degrees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a 3rd-year student and haven't availed of any scholarship in VIT. There is a VITEEE ignite scholarship given to students who have scored well in VITEEE. To rank 1 to 10 in VIT there is a 100% scholarship, rank 11 to 50 are given a 75% scholarship, rank 51 to 100 are given a 50% scholarship. The fees category is divided into 5 categories and based on the category the fees are decided. The fees go on increasing the category. I got admitted to category 2 and that cost me 2.32 lac per year as tuition fees.

Campus Life

5

One of the best engineering colleges in India. infrastructure is good and the library is cool, the campus is clean, there are many chapters and clubs in vit with given exposure and some work experience. they recruit 1st and 2nd year people from all branches and help them nourish their hobbies. I personally like the hostel on vit, then the mess is good too.

Admission

Being an OBC candidate I didn't availed any quota. After the VITEEE rank was shown the admission process was very easy. We had a counseling round in which I opt for CSE and EEE (Electrical and Electronics). And fortunately, I got the EEE branch. Besides this, my admission was for the category. In VITEEE all your board marks and JEE percentile are considered. I scored 95 percentile in JEE Main paper 1 and 98.8 percentile in JEE Main paper 2. For VITEEE a candidate should have an age of a maximum of 20 years. one can apply who has passed the 12th board or appeared in the current year. After admission, we had an English proficiency test just for checking our vocab and grammar.

Other Applied Colleges

Birla Institute of Technology - [BIT Mesra] | Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch]

When I asked from some of BITIANs they said that placement of B.arch wasn't good enough

Birla Institute of Technology - [BIT Mesra] | Bachelor of Architecture [B.Arch]

I didn't opt for this college because I came to know that placement wasn't good of architecture in BIT Mesra.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.
