Course Curriculum Overview
I choose mechanical engineering because I like machines and I like to work with robotic cars, drones, etc and all these things I can explore during my degree in mechanical engineering, around 24 faculty are there in our batch, and 120 students, Faculty are highly qualified either they are Ph.D. holders or they have completed their master's degree from IITs and NITs, the teaching method is average, they cover the syllabus in very hurry so we face some difficulty in better understanding of the subjects, teachers use PPT to explain the concept on smart board, If we discuss the exam frequency then 3 times exam occurs in a semester and these exams can be easily qualified If we only study before 2 or 3 days of the exams.
Internships Opportunities
If we discuss the Internship opportunities in our college then we don't get as many Internship opportunities as we are thinking, we are thinking that more than 80 percent of students get Internship opportunities but only 60 percent of students get on-campus internships with stipends up to 30000 per month, Companies like Amazon, Maruti Suzuki, Veolia, BPCL, etc give the Internship opportunities to those students which can fulfill the minimum criteria of CGPA, If the students prepare their projects with full dedication then It will helps a lot them in grabbing the Internship from both core and non-core Companies.
Placement Experience
If we discuss the placement percentage then the student which are in their 7th semester are eligible for the placement seasons, currently, placement season is going on and more than 70 percent of students are already placed, companies like maruti suzuki, EXL , Trident, Amazon, Microsoft, Google are the top recruiter companies of our college which provide the highest package of 25 lahks to mechanical engineering students and median package is 8 lakh per annum and the lowest package is 4 lakh per annum, more than 85 percent students get placement in our college, After B.Tech I'm thinking to prepare for the Civil services exam because It gave me a boost in life and helps me to become financial Independent.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is different for different category students, the fee of any student depends on the category and the Income certificate, If a student belongs to SC and ST category then he/she don't need to pay only the hostel fee they don't need to pay tuition fee and If a student belongs to the general category then they need to pay full college fee, If the Income certified is less than 1 lakh then only hostel and other charges need to pay no tuition fee for these students, There is no scholarship for general and OBC students in our college but You can get the loan from bank easily without any extra charges, In our branch, more than 80 % students easily get placement in tech and core companies with an average stipend of 8 lakhs per annum.
Campus Life
Annual tech fest occurs in a very short interval of time during the month of February and March, TechNiti is the tech fest of our college which is organized during the month of February and Utkansh is organized during the month of March, most of the books that we need for the study we can easily get from the library, we need to show library card to book issuers and we can issue one book for 15 days, our classroom is very well organized where we get the AC facility good sitting benches, and plane benches for the writing work, sports activities organized in very discipline way in our college we can play any game in our college, students play volleyball, badminton even in the night time as well, apart from the sports activities our college also have several social groups and clubs these clubs organized all the events in our colleges, each club and society having their different websites, some clubs and society of our college are TTA, GDSC, Zeal Society, SOME society, etc.
Admission
To get admission into Mechanical Engineering at NIT Jalandhar then you have to give the JEE Maina Exam, If you get more than 94 percentile in OBC Category then you easily get admission to my college, you need to apply for JEE Mains online on the official website of NTA, application form release in the month of September and application fee for general and OBC category is 1200 INR, seats for OBC category is reserved in my college you get 10 percent reservation in my college If you belongs to the OBC category, the admission procedure is very good to get into NIT Jalandhar I don't want any improvement in the admission process because already NTA is conducting JEE Exam in a very fair manner.
