Course Curriculum Overview
This is the course that I got based on my jee percentile, so I chose this course. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:7, and this is the same for all the branches. All the faculty have doctorates, and to be frank, the teaching of a lot of faculties is not that great. They assume we know everything and don't do everything properly and give a lot of work without considering the mental health of students and this affects us a lot. Exams are also very much difficult and sometimes questions were given on some advanced topics which weren't even taught.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are also good. Companies visit in the 5th semester to offer internships and this process is the same as off-campus internships only. The first online assessment then personal interviews. Many global companies like google, amazon, Qualcomm, Atlassian, Facebook, condensation, and uber visited for internships.
Placement Experience
Campus placements are good actually. Students become eligible for campus internships from the 5th sem and for placements from the 7th semester. Many top companies in every field visit our campus for placements. like, google, Facebook, Qualcomm, and texas instruments and packages range from 300,000 - 6,000,000.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost that the college charges and the number of things taught are very unbalanced. Some scholarships can be availed and information about these scholarships can be found on the college website. The fees got reduced based on the income status of the individual i.e, they can get 100%, or 60% fees remission.
Campus Life
Aaveg is the fest in which only first years can participate and teams are based on hostels and every hostel compete in all the games. Pragyan is another fest that is very popular for the amount of knowledge that one can gain through this fest and this fest is mainly based on educational workshops and competitions. There is another fest called September which happens in September where they will be many art and cultural competitions.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is very bad. Most of the time there won't be a water supply in the washrooms for 6-7 hours continuously and the drinking water filters also get damaged frequently. Wifi is also another big issue. When routers stop working the admin doesn't even care about repairing them but shows great interest in charging us for everything.
Admission
The admission was based on Jee mains rank and percentile. All the details about application details and applications fees and dates are found on NITT website. I got the benefits of the EWS category which helped me to get admission to this college. The admission process was good but it was long and there was a lot of movement from one room to another room in this process which might be improved.
