What Students Say
Likes
- People and diversity. Study Environment because you may find genius people lying just beside you and you are unaware about it.
- Library is super cool like you have and excellent seating capacity and good silent studying environment.
- We have twice holidays in a week, Sunday and Monday so we can concentrate on personal skills or have rest mentally
Dislikes
- Hostel Intime- Its compulsory to get back to hostel at 7:30pm , I guess it could have been more around 9 pm.
- They charge you for every thing, college fests, they will only sell limited products in the campus and lack of good food services.
- We miss the COED feeling , it feels so seperated because I personally couldn't talk or have female friends like I used to have in my school. The reason seems so childish and so unfair.
Course Curriculum Overview
CSE is the course I always wanted to pursue. Faculty is to the student is the ratio of 100 to 1. All the faculties are highly qualified, and most of them are IIT PHD scholars. Teaching depends on person to person, some still follow old methods of teaching on board and some follow teaching on the projector via pdfs. Exams are pretty often like every month, we have consecutive 3 exams in one semester and you have to pass every one of them. They are easy to pass if you study properly. You can even pass if you study the night before but you need your concepts clear.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for tuition are kind of ok, not satisfied but the hostel and mess are extremely expensive to the quality that they give. They charge nearly 0.75 times the tuition fees for mess+hostel (only basic needs) and other amenities are charged separately. Even Students have to pay at fests , this was a betrayal for me from the college. Opportunities Fine, but I didn't see it personally to anyone around me.
Campus Life
Cultural tech-fest - VITOPIA and Technical - VITAPP conducted around December and march. The library is awesome the climate is so good and you can get whatever you want. The classrooms are good and big enough. Sports and co-curricular activities are conducted but the problem is native people are preferred and thats what hurts me a lot. Clubs are some wonderful things they have especially cultural state clubs representing their cultures. Small events take place every Saturday. We have so many clubs. Social life to talk about is you can't come in physical contact with your opposite-gender friends. Guards will follow you all around, there is no scarcity of security on campus.
Hostel Facilities
In the hostel, we are provided with a beautiful wardrobe and a table fitted inside a bunk bed, wall hanging fans so no one can commit something bad deed. The problem I personally face a lot is ventilation, in summer or even at the start of march you can't live without fans off. The meal is fine. It gives you energy for a day but not food that you can be satisfied with. They limit a lot. Registration methods are easy, they generate payment methods and receipts on the portal itself so you won't have any problems to keep a track of record of your payments. Hostels are inside the university premises so no worries. Highly secured area.
Admission
The examination process was pretty easy, we had 6 days of exams at a rate of 3 days per shift and the result was announced just after the last day of the exam. Application forms can be found on the website by searching VITEEE. I think the admission process should be more transparent, you can't see your marks or question paper either, you are just given a rank and on that basis, you get selected. It probably feels extremely unfair.
