Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties have great teaching skills and knowledge about specific subjects and courses. Professor, the assistant professor has great knowledge with experience. The teachers are friendly with students with strictness about their studies. Also provided faculty houses for well-being and standard of living. The exams are held on time, semester-wise.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

For placement purposes, there is a separate training and placement department for that with inside three interview rooms. Two larger halls. This institute is better for the computer science branch and Mechanical branch (welding and manufacturing specialization) according to placement purposes. More than 90 % placement for those branches.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the Diploma degree is 10000 per semester and for B.Tech 35000 per semester which includes the hostel fees too. There are a lot of scholarships provided by the college that are NSP, Student fee waivers. The students of Ph.D. and MTech get a stipend.

Campus Life

Campus life is better than home life. Hera every facility is available for students. The campus is very larger approximately 450 acres. Inside campus including one large library, one small park, a cricket ground, a football ground, etc. I enjoy every day with many activities and well study.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, Residential facilities are also available for students with separate Boys' and girls' hostels. There are seven boys hostel and three girls hostel and from prefinal year B.E and B.Tech students have a single room for study with better consistency. Hostel caretaker, warden, and cleaning worker are in every hostel. Every facility which a student should have exists in the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 10000 per year

Admission

Firstly I would like to tell you about the courses. In Sliet Diploma course, B.E course, Mtech, and Ph.D. all exist in this college. For diploma admission after the 10th one test exam is conducted. For B.E. allow JEE mains students and after the diploma students leet exam is conducted for admission. Based on gate marks, MTech students are allowed.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events

Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

I also applied for tejpur university and also got admission but I didn't get this college because of there location and infrastructure. Yes I got a rejection from nit college because my rank was not upto for getting this college. As I scored a decent percentile in the jee mains exam.So, I've some chances to get in the lower nits and lower branch but like Nit Rourkela, Manipur etc.But I wants to pursue my career in the computer science so I've to choose that one college where I got CS branch. It is a CFTI having some decent placements score and one of the main point is the fee of the college is some low from the other colleges. Not at all I got the other colleges but not the CS branch that's why I didn't choose that colleges over this.
