Dislikes

Mess food is not good at all and should improve.
Some teachers have rude behaviour with students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I had a interest in cse and making websites like collegeduniya/swiggy or anything else. Faculty ratio is 1:10. there are less no. of professors than requires .So Phd Scholars also take our class. Most of them are good. There are two sem. in a year. Every sem has 3 exams- minor1, minor2, major with a gap of 1.5 month. we can give 7.5 rating to faculty

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 81000 per year

Internships Opportunities

TCS , Capgemini,Infosis offer MObile application developer, system engineer,Information Security analyst,Font-end and back end developer,Software engineer-3 etc.You have to suubmit projects im 4th year witn will help you in placements. I have not done my internship yet.Internship rating 7.5.

Placement Experience

8th semster for campus placements. coompany visted-Amazon, Mahindra,TCS,ITC limited, Capgemini ,Amul,JSW tech. lmt., HCL technologies ,Wipro lmt etc. Highest pakage upto 26 laks and median is 4 lakh. 30% percent of student pursue higer studied after the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

fees are aroung 34500? per semister upto 4th year. mess fees are nearly 2800? per month. cost does not hike every year. A total cost of yor degree with living upto 4th years may be around 5 lakhs-6lakhs. Scholarship provided to SC/ST students named NSP.Ehere you get more than your requirement. and for gen. students you get fee weiver upto 50000?/year.(only 3 student every branch). Jobs provided after 4th year. And internship after 3rd year(stipend of 10000?/month).

Campus Life

theree are fopod fest, tech fest(Madhuram). There are a central library with more than 1 lakh books. Some classroooms are with A.C. Enough field for any sport-basketball,cricket,football etc. thereare coding club, hacker club,mabricks(mech.engg).Best off luck. My campus life rating 9.0

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel Fee: INR 7000 per year

Admission

You have to crack jee mains atleast with 91 percentile(gen) to get computer science and engineering(81-85 for sc & 70 for st). Then you have to go for JoSAA or CSAB counselling. All the online admission process is done through counselling. And then you have to submit all the hard copies of you r educational quallifications with medical certificate. I think admission dead line for offline admission should increase1-2 week more as after online counselling it is hard to get train tickets. if you belong in sc/st catagories then you can get food engineering with 65-75 percentile. and mechanical for 71-78 percentile.there are no reservation for state students of punjab.

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.

This is SLIET

As I scored a decent percentile in the jee mains exam. So, I've some chances to get in the lower nits and lower branch but like Nit Rourkela, Manipur etc.But I wants to pursue my career in the computer science so I've to choose that one college where I got CS branch. It is a CFTI having some decent placements score and one of the main point is the fee of the college is some low from the other colleges. Not at all I got the other colleges but not the CS branch that's why I didn't choose that colleges over this. They take students on the basis of the Jee Mains exam which is an renowned engineering exam. The cutoff for the getting admission is decent you to secure some decent rank to get in the college. The admission process is so smooth without any kind of barriers....Read More
