Remarks

This college has no hostel. This is big problem. Students of various states came to study but they had to run to take expensive PG.

Entrance Preview

I have taken admission on merit basis marks obtained in class 12th. There is no entrance exam and interview process. DU issued cutoff marks for Each courses. On the basis of that cutoff I took the admission in Bhagat Singh college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course BA Hons pol Sci because I want to prepare for upsc. There were many students of second and third year who helped me in the admission process. Mainly in Hons courses, one needs to study deeply of the subject matter. It is helpful for post graduation also.

Internships Opportunities

Ya college provides internship. This college is top ranked for the commerce stream. It's position is 8th. College holds seminars for the students.

Students get good placement. Students who get above 85%marks got admission in the college. Also there are many societies in the college to foster growth and skills of the students.

according to all the reviews i have read the placement ranges from 4-5 lcs per anumm to 24 lcs per anumm which is quite decent i think the students can become eligible for placements in 2nd year of college some companies that have visited the college : delloitte KPMG HDFC bank bajaj finance amazon genpact tata consulting services in 2024 around 300+ people were reported as placed highest packedge in 2024 - 12lkh per aummn

My overall experience in delhi university

Course Curriculum Overview:

According to me, bachelor of Arts is a waste program, it doesn't prepare you for anything except government exams. It doesn't prepare you for real world applications unless you have other in demand skills. I think there's a lot of need to change the syllabus of bachelor of Arts and teachers should be supportive and qualified. In every 6 months there's semester exams and mostly they're quite difficult.

Remarks:

Positive- Faculty is one of the best in among all colleges of Delhi University. It has the biggest infrastructure in Delhi university. Located in central Delhi which makes it easily accessible to reach Central park, red fort, and many more places in New Delhi. Negative- Annual fest is very poor in our college. Placements are not very good. Lack of sports facilities. Very strict rules and discipline.

My experience at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College so far !!

To get admission into any college of University of Delhi you need to appear in CUET ( Common University Entrance Exam ). Cutoffs vary from college to college depending on how many students apply for that college. I simply chose SBSC over other colleges i was eligible for because it was the best option i had and since i didn't want to go to a girls college so preferred SBSC over DRC and IP and also over ARSD, SGGSCC and all other colleges at this level. I also got admitted in christ Bangalore ( Central Campus ) and Narsee Monjee ( Mumbai Campus ). But these institutions didn't seem worth it and Delhi University in general has a better reputation....Read More
