Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Mechanical as more passionate about it. In the mechanical department, faculty: the student ratio is 1:20. Every faculty members are PG and PhD in their respective field, have good domain knowledge, and regular 2 sem per year concept prevail with credit-based evaluation

In the Third year of study many IT and Non - IT interns are provided with On-Duties and Faculty members help in coordinating with us for Academic updates. Project outcomes are huge and more practical learning is done outside of college academia

Students are eligible for placement in the Third Year of study, also many domain-based companies are placing students. Avg package range from 5Lakh - 7Lakh CTC per annum .100% placement available. Placement wise excellent

Fees and Financial Aid

In campus, the tution fees include all extra placement training and special course fee opt to around rupees 1Lakh for an year(2 semesters). Also student can opt loans through govt. Schemes. Many scholarship programs and cash prize events are taken by the students.

Campus Life

This College got one of the large libraries in Coimbatore. Also, playgrounds are recreated to modern standards. SAR and SAE clubs are there for students. E-boards in the classroom and interactive environment. Weekly special activities are conducted.

Admission

Admission is Based on DoTe, Tamilnadu counselling procedure Also, Management seats are available. Reservation-based scholarship is available. The merit quota listing is based on your cut-off on the 12th. PG courses are also available, and admission is based on regional entrance exams.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Sathyabama is value for money

Likes

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned
faculty is supportive for academic growth

Dislikes

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

Dislikes

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

A Brief Overview of SKCET as an Atmosphere

I chose this college as it was closer to me than other colleges i applied for. I got a seat in HITS, as well as CUK. I declined them both for having poor placement records, something that SKCET excels in. Even though i am not a hosteller, the hostel food was reported to be very bad by my friends. This might be a negative point for those looking to stay in the hostel. Other hostel facilities like cleaning, space, etc are quite good still. One of the main ways to gain entrance into these collleges is to do the 12th grade exams well, after which you can apply to the college through the TNEA scheme. It is easy to get into the college provided you have a cutoff above 170 in your 12th boards. Once i got into the college, the admission process was quite easy, except that they expected the entire year fees to be paid upfront. Overall a 7/10 experience....Read More
