Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because I wanted to learn more in that field. The college has a lot of facilities and equipment for practical learning. They encourage students to do research work. They invest a lot in modern equipment. All the faculties in the college are PhD holders. The faculties also encourage students to do research work and give ideas on topics to work on. They arrange for Industrial visits for the students every semester. There are the main written exam, CAT-1, CAT-2, and FAT. if the preparation is good, then it's definitely easy to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Companies such as Amazon, Google, Morgan Stanley, L&T, PayPal, Microsoft, etc. offer internships to students. Stipend ranges from 1,00,000rs. to 2,00,000rs. Every year, 10 students get international internships I teh countries like the USA, UK, Ireland, Japan, China, Israel, Taiwan, UAE, Kenya, Germany, Nigeria and Italy.
Placement Experience
Students can sit for placements in their 7 and 8 semesters. Companies such as TCS, CTS, Google, Microsoft, TATA, Flipkart, Amazon, accentuate, etc visit the campus to recruit. So far, the highest package is 1.02 crores. All the students that sit for campus placement get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees depend on which category you are in. For category 1 it's around 2 lakhs and as the category increases to 5, the fee goes up to around 6 lakhs. The college also provides scholarships for the first 100 rank scorers of the VITEEE examination. If you are from an economically backward, you can claim a scholarship.
Campus Life
Two fests happen in the college. The technical fest is called Gravitas which occurs at the end of September and the cultural fest is called Rivera which occurs at the end of March. The campus also has a central library where students can take up reference books for their preparation for internal exams and also for exams like GRE, GATE, IELTS, etc. The college also encourages students to participate in sports activities. Swimming pool, gym, badminton court, table tennis court and basketball court are available in both girls and men's hostel. They are also open to day scholars. The college also has more than 100 clubs and more than 50 chapters. Assailing Falcons is one of the famous aero modelling teams.
Hostel Facilities
VIT provides hostel facilities for both male and female students. There are both AC and Jon AC rooms available with all the facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, badminton court etc. Regarding mess, the student gets to choose to be in veg, non-veg or special mess. All the rooms are provided with beds, a study table, a chair and a study lamp. The hostels also have study rooms where the students can study without any disturbances. The hostel and mess prices are also nominal as they differ in the number of beds you choose and the mess you choose to be in.
Admission
To get admission in any campus of VIT, you will have to clear the VITEEE examination. Questions will be asked from class 11 and class 12 portions from all boards, subjects will be math, physics, chemistry, English and general aptitude. Once your rank get released, you can apply. If your rank is above one lakh, then you can only apply for VIT Andhra pradesh and Bhopal campuses. The cutoff depends and changes every year. Depending on your rank and seat availability, you will be allotted in category wise. The more the category number is the more will be your tuition fees.
