Life at AEC

I appeared for WBJEE examination in which my rank was 9113. I opted for this college because in 2013 it was one of the top 10 self financed colleges in west bengal. I choose computer science and engineering course because this is my field of interest.

The course curriculum is very nice, innovative, creative and interesting as well. There are a large number of practical applications of this course in today's digital world.

This college has a very good industrial exposure. Companies like L&T, Mind Tree, T.C.S. , Accenture, etc. College also provides students a number of industrial visits including a specified period of work experience.

The college celebrates a number of cultural, technical and other type of festivals. Some of them are Leganza (annual cultural fest of 3-5 days), Info-quest (annual technical fest of 3-5 days), Electronic Innovation (Inter college competition of 2 days), Freshers Day Celebration, Farewell Celebration, Teachers Day Celebration etc.

The fee structure of this college is very feasible. Only 40 thousand rupees is charged as tuition fee per semester which is very less as compared to other private colleges. Apart from that Rs.1280 is charged as risk coverage and Rs.1000 as examination fees only. Tuition fees is increased by very low amount per year.

Yes, there are a number of scholarships made available to the meritorious and financially poor students by the college itself and the state government.

The campus life at asansol engineering college very exciting and enjoyable.Here, students not only get a environment favorable for studies but for extra curricular activities along with fun also. There are almost equal number of students of both the genders. No such tolerance regarding gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status or any other thing is found here.We have labs and regularly conducted workshops on the topics apart from the syllabus .

I would give hostel facility and mess food 7 upon 10. There are three boys hostels and two girls hostels. All the hostels have their separate food facility and managed by private caterers. Food quality is very good and hygienic.

Seniors and alumni in college are very helpful, supportive and a good guidance. They help juniors specially new students to understand everything and get familiar with new environment of the college.

The faculty of this college are quite supportive and helping. Their way is teaching is as good that they make students understand even the most difficult topics quite easily.
