Likes
- Faculty: Some professors are friendlier than other but still in general they tend to be more helpful than I expected.
- Societies: There are alot of societies and therefore lots of cultural activities
- Ground: The sports ground is pretty big, its even used by the local people outside of college.
Dislikes
- Connectivity to other colleges: The college is off campus so there isn't any other DU college around there.
- Cost of Living: This is not even a complaint for the college but the cost of living in Delhi itself is quite high.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.A. because I am interested in pursuing psychology, although I didn't end up getting the subject. In Sociology class, there are 20 students at most, and even in bigger classes at most there are 30-40 students. So the faculty-student ratio is good. Term exams haven't happened yet.
Internships Opportunities
There haven't been any yet as the course just started 2 months ago. There are placement cells and they help in providing interships too, and the Student Union works hard to make sure that the placement cells are active.
Fees and Financial Aid
It's pretty cheap it costs 18,000 for the whole year, and in that too financial assistance is available but I don't qualify for that, financial assistance is income-based not merit-based as far as I am aware. I don't think there is any fee hike policy as the fees for every year were mentioned in the prospectus.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest is called Vibrations and it happens in February generally. Library has most books and journals you would need and even if you need something that isn't there, you can request it and they will get it for you. The classroom is just a standard room with desks and a blackboard. There are a lot of societies and there is a very big ground for sports There are college-level and university-level student unions.
Admission
Eligibility, application procedure, and such things were made available by Delhi University, To tell it in my own words, I needed to have at least one subject from a list of subjects, and another subject from another list of subjects in my class 12th exams, I needed to take CUET, and in CUET, only the subjects which were in my 12th would be considered for admission. Application forms for CUET can be found in the NTA or CUET samarth portal. But just giving CUET and selecting Delhi University through CUET is not enough, after the exams, I had to register for CSAS which is not an exam just a seat allocation system that Delhi University uses, and they said students must register for CSAS whenever it's mentioned. It's pretty good and I don't think it needs any changes, they just need to make it smoother and more reliable I think.
