Remarks

The management is bit ignorant and slow. But they are quite helpful in some cases. They don't trouble you if you're going for some good work and make college proud, otherwise they are ready to obstruct you. The college is pretty good with respect to placements but the infrastructure and the extra curricular activities are compromised. Faculty is average and being an autonomous college, it doesn't troubles you much.

Entrance Preview

ComedK 95 It is better than many colleges in Bangalore that offer a more happening lifestyle but lag behind in academics.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is a bit old. Newer than the colleges in the East. But it can't match the course plan of good IITs or nits. It needs to replan. There are subjects that were supposed to be studied for 10 years and they are making us study them now. But there also some good subjects which make the engineering interesting

Internships Opportunities

No. The college doesn't provide internship. However, some companies visit the campus and provide internships to the students.

Placement Experience

4

This is the field where Nie is ahead of many colleges in Bangalore. The placement opportunities are sufficient to provide the average students a good job. Companies offering 2.5 lpa to 25lpa are coming to the campus. You need to make use of it. The college is not responsible for preparing you for the same. You need to work hard.

College Events

0.5

There is one event called Technieks which is celebrated every year. Very substandard bands and decoration is made. The budget of the fest is too low. The other colleges in Mysore have an edge over Nie in this case. However it's not a big deal. The city is beautiful and you can enjoy it

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the Karnataka students is very very feasible. They even get money to study here as a part of the scholarship program. But the outsiders have to spend nearly 3 lakhs per annum to stay and study here. The hostel is cheaper but the food and the rooms make it a little difficult to live.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not aware of this. I don't think there's anything like this being a private college. However, the local students get a lot of scholarships for their education. But not the non-domiciles.

Campus Life

1

The boy to girl ratio is almost same in computer science or IT . But the mechanical engineering doesn't even have one. Labs are well equipped but the faculty is very poor in the labs. They are just like us trying to learn something. No such debate kinda thing happening here. Yea, I have seen few robotics posters but not witnessed an impressive one till date.

Alumni/Alumna

Didn't have any such experience. The seniors are quite helpful. They help you in placement activities and other academic things. It is a healthy interaction.

Exam Structure

Exams are okay okay. They test your knowledge. Internals are required to make you eligible for the final exam. The papers are prepared by faculty members. The exam pattern is standard. The faculty members try Their best to improve it. Lab exams can be improved. It is more based on memorizing than learning.

Admission

I got admission after a series of steps. First counselling was held. Then the second one . Then the whole lot of paperwork in the college office. Nowadays they have made it online. So everything happens at your fingertips. But in our time, we had to spend too many days and too much money in travelling here and there.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty of this college is good . Some professors are really knowledgeable and helpful. But there is other side too. Many faculty members are not that good to teach an engineering student. The core branches are having good faculty members but not every branch.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
