I like the discipline they force students to learn and follow.
Campus environment is peaceful without any noise pollution and traffic from outside
Faculties are really well educated and their language skills are great.

Dislikes

I hate the strictness they follow by forcing students to follow school rules.
The location of campus is a great drawback.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had chosen this course as I got myself interested and excited after hearing about it. Robotics is the future's scope. And I am good at programming and coding which is helpful for automation. The faculty-student ratio is 1:30. All faculty members are from top universities and most of them have done Ph.D. The teaching method is all smart and digital. No books and notes. But more strict like schools. The evaluation system is also strict and there is no transparency. It is difficult to score good grades.

Fees and Financial Aid

The normal fees in Amrita are expensive. However, scholarships are given to students based on rank and counseling rounds. This scholarship system includes slabs/categories. In order to maintain the scholarship, we need to maintain the required cgpa based on their slab. If not maintained then it moves to the next slab where the fee increases. After decreasing we cannot go back to the same slab or improve the slab even though we get enough cgpa.

Campus Life

I am studying at the Chennai campus which is the latest one and yet developing. Mega techfest is conducted once a year. Mini texhfest is done in 2 months. Less availability of books in the library. The classrooms are great but no AC. Only a few sports are concentrated. Others are lacking trainers, infrastructure, and timing. There are clubs but haven't yet been implemented successfully.

Admission

The admission process and course counseling were all conducted online. There is a separate entrance exam- AEEE conducted by amrita vishwa vidyapeetham through which candidates are selected and rank based on their percentile. Even JEE score is also accepted but we need to attend AEEE atleast once. Board exam marks considered for eligibility (75 %). Application forms and other info are available in their official portal. There is no reservation benefits. All are based on Mark and rank. 3 rounds of councelling is conducted. The improvement I require is transperancy and explained fee structure details.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

I applied for vit, snu, cuet examination. A decent university

I applied to many colleges like Thapar College, Manipal College, VIT, and LPU and others. I got selected from many colleges, but I chose this college because of its ranking as it ranked 4th best university and 1st in the best private university. This was the only reason for the selection. Now it is also the 7th best university in india and 2nd in private universities. I only got rejected from the Manipal College of Engineering, and they didn't mention the reason for the rejection, but I assume the entrance exam was not so good for me. I rejected other colleges because I find Amrita University better than others. There are many ways to get admission, like from JEE mains or advanced and Amrita's own exam, AEEE.
