Course Curriculum Overview

5

I'm very much interested in cyber related things such as hacking, firewalls etc. I wanted to be the one who creates strong security and firewall to protect confidential things which are beneficial to the indian government. They teach all the coding languages and teaches to build firewalls and security software. If unrelated courses such as modern physics are not included in the course, it would be a real help not wasting time on studying it. Midterms happen within 1.5 months of the semester beginning and regular class tests for internals happen, in another 1.5 months end semester takes place tightly packed with lab eveluation. The exams are pretty tough.

Internships Opportunities

4

after 2nd or 3rd year, the college takes initiative to help use get any internships at any company they have contact with. Since we are from cyber security we get internships mostly at any company with some

Placement Experience

5

Placements are quite good in my college. 35 percent of the students got placed in good LPA. so far highest package was 59.6lakhs/ annum. the average placements are 7-12 LPA. Hyundai, DRDO, infosys, tcl

Fees and Financial Aid

currently I'm paying 400000rs yearly for tuition fee alone for the scholarship slab 3. Initially i was paying 290000rs for tuition fee, when i was in scholarship slab 2. Due to inconsistency of cgpa i was moved from scholarship slab 2 to 3. The college management has a set of rules for scholarship holders to withhold. That is scholarship 1 students need to hold a cgpa of 8.0 and scholarship 2 students to hold a cgpa of 7.5. Other than this, students are required to pay the hostel fees and mess fees which include the evening tea and coffee with some snacks. No fees change for categorys based on caste.

Campus Life

4

Everyone here is very friendly and students experince zero ragging from seniors.the campus is really huge, and has lots to explore in there, every classroom is equipped with projector and a sound system with microphone for faculty to be loud and clear during teaching. There are lots of clubs in amrita college, the famous clubs such as Anokha, WiCys, sadhana etc. Myself am a member of WiCys club.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel facility is very poor for the fees we are paying. Old room without any furnished cupboards and table. restroom doesn't have the water gun. we should only use bucket and mug. only indian toilets are available in college. the food quality is okay, eatable. no non-veg is served in campus. if i rent a room or pg i would rent in ettimadai.

Admission

I applied for vit, snu, cuet examination. I couldnt get vit because of high rank, in cuet exam i got seat at pondicherry university. but still chose amrita for its reputation, infrastructure, and curriculum. first you should attend an entrance examination called AEEE escpecially for amrita vishwa vidhyapeetham, which has 2 phases. after both phases you get placed in a ranking system. for each range of ranks each department holds a rank exceptancy of the entrance participants. other than AEEE you can also get throw using JEE marks

Faculty

5

The faculty is very approchable and friendly towards students , we are free to ask doubts whenever we are obligated by anything on mind. The faculty i like very much is Aravind Vishnu who is friendly towards student and teaches really very well. also encourages and mentors us to do Hackathon and CTFs. The exams are quite tuff, in my class 12 members have failed to clear the exams. the course curriculum is well prepared and helps us know all the things we need to know about the upcoming topics

Night Life

5

The in-time to hostel for 1st year is 9pm and for 2nd year is 10pm. students who got out should be back within 10pm. gym is too crowded and cannot get the equipement.there are 2 canteen in here.ground, IT canteen and Saraswati statue are famous hangout places inside college

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence.
