Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to become a computer engineer, and that's the reason why I opted for the course. There are almost 35 thousand students on the campus including all departments and almost 2000 staff. All the faculties here are doctorates so they know a lot about the concepts and give us the maximum of they can. Exams are not difficult unless and until the student understands the concepts properly.
Internships Opportunities
There are various internships provi6by the college from the very first year. It completely depends on the student's choice in that particular semester. But for the first year, the internships mostly make people learn basics but further internships are huge platforms to learn many.
Placement Experience
I'm from 1st year. So as far as now, the year I joined, the highest package in data science was 56 lakhs per annum. And that's enormous. Almost 95 percent of students are getting placed. Last year highest package was 1.2 crore per annum and the average package was 9 lakhs per annum. VIT is best for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual fee is 405000. The fee is much higher than the government colleges. However, the college provides loans for students to pay the fees for all the years without interest. The policy is very helpful. But the college infrastructure is worth the money.
Campus Life
There are various clubs and chapters in the college. A student has various opportunities to learn different things. The college infrastructure is good. There is nothing to complain about the maintenance here. The college promotes students by making them involved in various activities other than academics.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels at VIT are maintained neatly. The rooms are quite spacious and the wardrobe for students is big in size. The washrooms are clean. People who enter the hostel will not have a mind to leave the place. The hostel too has many amenities like a gym, sports courts, swimming pool, etc. Everything is maintained properly.
Admission
There was an entrance exam conducted by the university called VITEEE which consisted of 125 questions, each carrying one mark. The exam was based on the 11th and 12th syllabus along with English and aptitude questions. I got to know about my rank and fee category through the college admission portal. The allotment is purely based on the rank secured by the student.
