Likes
- The campus is huge and there are alot of facilities like badminton courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, gyms, swimming pools, and stadium with 400meters track.
- The campus life is amazing as there are a lot of activities going on at any particular period of time.
- We can choose our timings of the class and faculty. So I prefer evening classes so that I don't need to wake up early.
Dislikes
- Hostel registration process depends on your rank which is not good as toppers have preference.
- The number of student is a lot as there are around 35,000 students which is a lot. It is crowded.
- There is timings that you can't come out of hostel after 9 pm. And should come inside campus by 8: 30 pm.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very good and the faculty members are highly educated and completed their higher education in foreign universities. There is no doubt bout the qualifications of the faculty. There are a lot of facilities in the clg. There are 2 midterm exams and 1 final exam for a course in a semester. We have the right to choose the faculty and timings and course which we want to do.
Internships Opportunities
There are top-class companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Microsoft with a stipend of around 1.2 lakhs. They provide many job roles like software engineer, front-end developer, back-end developer, full stack developer, graphic designer, and many more.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to sit in placements from 3rd yr 2nd sem and 4th yr 1st sem. There are around 1000 to 1200 companies coming to the college to provide job offers. Almost everyone will get placed. So around 90% of students get placement. My plan is to get a job after my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The are 5 categories of fees which depend on your rank varying from 2 lakhs to 5 lakhs. The fee hike does not matter if you join. I am not sure about the scholarship. They provide a lot of options for internships and job opportunities.
Campus Life
There are 2 main fests conducted by the clg. They are Rivera and Gravitas. One of them is a cultural fest where many celebrities come and perform and gravitas is a technical fest. There are a lot of events going on throughout the year conducted by clubs. There are more than 150 clubs and chapters in the college. There are many competitions conducted in extracurricular activities. Aude, Rev Mechanics, and many more clubs are NGOs some are technical and others are cultural clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are great compared to other classes. But the fees are also high compared to other clogs. The menu has a wide range of options. Hostel process is dependent on ranks so it is a bit hectic. It is not that affordability.
Admission
I wrote the VITEEE exam which is the entrance exam and got a rank of around 12,500. Then we have to give a preference order of branch you wanted. I got Cse core in category 3. After that, they asked us to pay the fee to book a seat in the college and gave us some time. The eligibility of the course is to do MPC in intermediate and to get above 75% in maths, physics, and chemistry. Application fees and dates will be mailed after you enroll for the examination. I don't know about the reservation benefits. So, the only improvement I want to see is to give a cut-off after all people who leave as category 1 people leave clg as they are bright students and go to IITS but due to them, students get a category.
