What Students Say

Likes

College infrastructure and networking is good.
Campus life and food facilities are good.
College fest and library facilities are good.

Dislikes

There is such a high fees and it should be reduced but it keeps on increasing every year
There is a complication of dress code and the student to teacher ratio is also not good.
There are many unnecessary charges like the fests and semester exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I like coding and software in general so I chose CSE. The faculty-student ratio is 1:70. Most of the faculty are highly qualified having done their Ph.D. or doctorate. We have 3 internal exams(cycle tests) before each semester exam. The internals are not very difficult to pass but should be taken seriously as they have more weightage in the calculation of GPA.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of studying is pretty high. There are scholarships too. It varies from campus to campus. It is insisted to check the official SRM website for the detailed scholarship structure. Campus jobs are decent. The return on Investment ranges from bad to decent at best. I am a fresher so till now I haven't gotten any internships so I can't comment on that.

Campus Life

Tech Fest (Aarush) occurs usually between August and September. The annual fest (Milan) occurs between January and March. The fests are good. There are many competitive events to showcase your talent. The library is one of the best in India. It has all the required books available most of the time. Most of the classrooms in B.tech are air-conditioned and have projectors for better visualization. Sports complexes and grounds are also available on the campus. Extracurricular activities also take place in ample amounts. There are many websites and clubs run by students for the students. Some of the clubs are SRM Data Science Club, Robocon Club, etc.

Admission

Eligibility- 60% aggregate in PCM. The applicant must qualify srmjee entrance exam conducted online. Application form available in srmist.edu.in. Application form fee- 1200 rs. Application dates- Available on the official website. Reservation benefits- No reservation on caste. Admission process improvement- No, it is seamlessly done.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

Likes

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence.
