- I like the supporting staff and faculty, whom you can approach during any time of the day. Most of them will stand by you, and help with difficult concepts and clarify any doubts
- The college also boasts state of the art facilities like a massive library and multiple labs for each subject. The campus is also lush in green, and is very welcoming.
- The teachers help you publish papers and take up projects which help you gain experience, interest and knowledge for the subject.
Dislikes
- I dislike the strict adherance to attendance policies and in time for hostellers
- I dislike the fact that they frown upon boys and girls sitting and having a chat with each other.
Course Curriculum Overview
My course is CSE with specialization with data science, I chose this course because there is a boom in the data science field and I wanted to make the best use of it. the student teacher ratio is about 1:13, The faculty are experienced and knowledgable. they are approachable and clarify doubts with ease. there are 3 exams that are conducted in VIT. 2 CATs and one FAT and they are moderately difficult usually.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers the oppurtunity to do internships in the final and pre final years with various private companies, such as Ethnus and AWS, with an average stipend of 10K. The students are albe to work in real time offices and gain vast knowldge and experiences, and also get PPOs
Placement Experience
VIT has an amazing placement record, students from 7th semester onwards are allowed to sit for placements. there are many notable companies that come to vit for recruitment. Almost everyone gets placed, the placements are divided into dream, super dream, marquee categories depending on the package obtained by the students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees depend on your VITEEE rank and they are categorized into 5 fee categories starting from 2LPA to 5LPA based on your rank. there is no hike as such. The cost to study depends on your rank and on an average it's feasible enough. There are no scholarships as such but the top 1000 rankers in VITEEE get fee concession.
Campus Life
The College Life is pretty good as you keep going through the semesters, VIT conducts an annual cultural fest called Riviera and a technical fest named Gravitas. VIT has the biggest library in the whole of South Asia and has an amazing collection of books and journals. The classrooms are comfortable and are abled with smart boards to enhance the learning experience of students. There are many clubs and chapters in the college that one can take part in.
Hostel Facilities
There are a variety of room types that are available to students for hostel accomodation like 1,2,3,4,6,8 bedded rooms. The mess is fairly decent and the quality is maintained at all times. The Registration process for the hostel and mess is decent and smooth.
Admission
The Admission process was smooth, the eligibility for the course is that you must pass class 12. The application form and other related details can be found on the official website of VIT. There are no Reservation benefits in VIT. admisssion is only through merit. VIT conducts it's own admission test which is the VITEEE(VIT Engineering Entrance Exam).
