Course Curriculum Overview

3

Because Geography is a dynamic subject and I like to study geography. In all the three years of geography students is around 200 and the number of faculty member is 10 so the faculty member and student ratio is 1: 20 but but teachers teaches about 35 students per class. Maximum professor is highly qualified with the qualification of PHD and some professors as a guest faculty is not a PHD students. Out of 10 teacher 4-5 professor is very good to express knowledge and her understandable technique is very good. Semester exam is not very difficult if you study one day ago of your exam of SEC or VAC , you can pass and you can achieve good marks. While in DSC, DSE and GE if you study one week ago of your exam you can easily pass in this subject

Internships Opportunities

4

There are some internship opportunity available in our college like vice chancellor internship. The task is we have to volunteering in the event as a volunteer, the task is very normal. We have to do work 1 hour Per day for internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually Kirori Mal College is a government college so the fee of any courses is nominal like i admitted in geography Honours and my annual fee is around 13000. Besides annual free we have to pay examination fee for the semester exam is around 1000 to 2000 . I got CSS scholarship on NSP, and I also good some return free of around 2500 from college .

Campus Life

4

In the last year in Kirori Mal College there were no any fest happened in college... But but there were lots of program happen in this college like foundation day, Bharat literature mahotsav, officially freshers day, Diwali mahotsav and other other departments farewells and freshers as well as their annual fest. They are lots of book of different courses and also the religious books available in the library of our college. Then first structure of the college is quite good with the comparison of other colleges. Science block is better than Arts block in the view of interest structure in our college. There were lots of sports activities available in our college but not more sports and extra curricular activities happen in our college in previous one year because the ground is off since last year and no the ground is open. Football cricket volleyball boxing gym tennis Ludo carom chase these all are available in this college. There are lots of society is running in this college around40-50

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
