Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this course as it was my dream toearn and coding as now a days we are getting placed more from computer science branch, Faculty were good they will interact with the students All of the lectures are well qualified they will explain in a practical manner and interact with the students , As our college was affiliated to VISVESVARAYA TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY it was quite hard to pass the core subjects.

Class Size: 1300Course Fees: INR 86000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure was 86,000 per year with a hostel fees of 80,000 per year. Iam in my second year so I haven't got any internships, what my seniors told is the hoghest package was 20LPA most of the internships they do were offline.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We have three options for those who are staying in hostel 1.Three sharing with attached bathroom 2.Two share with attached bathroom 3.Two share with common bathroom we can opt any of these as our wish and it is a rule for all the first years to stay in unit-1 from second year it is their wish. We get good tiffins in morning along with lemon rice, veg biryani along with coffee and milk, Chapathi, san[mbar and curd are common in lunch and dinner, there will be two options veg and non-veg there will be extra fees for those who opted non-veg. Students are given options to choose their own rooms and the registration is done manually. I havent stayed in PG as the PG is far from the college.

Admission

Yeah I took comedk entrance exam to get admission in this college, and we can find application form, application dates and fees and the dates of the exam in the COMEDK website Iam from general category so haven't got any reservation benefits, the admission process is quite slow we have to interact more with the college.

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

Course Curriculum Overview:

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.
