I had choosen this course because I really like circuital branch and My branch which the POWER ENGINEER branch gives me a vast experience and a hybrid subject. In my course we have 70% electrical engineering and 30% mechanical engineering and for this reasone we can sit in both mechanical and electrical engineering placement companies (off campus). And not only that the faculty is really very good just awesome afterall it is one of the top university in our country (NIRF4) . And this course offeres me a very good approach for research purposes. In our department all the professor are very highly qualified they all have done their PhD and Post doctorial degree and the teachers gives us the best in class teaching materials

You can get internship opportunities at CESC, TATA POWER , RELIANCE POWER, some other IT companies and you can also get internship opportunities at different IIT'S like - IIT DELHI, IIT GUWAHATI,IIT MADRAS ,IIT BOMBAY and others .

Students become eligible for placements in the 4 th year (engineering). The placement of Jadavpur University is beyond imagination. Because no other colleges can give you this kind of huge placement. Almost every single students got placed in different companies and in our university the placement percentage is 100% which means 100% students get placement in different companies and the students who doesn't get placement they don't take the placement for the purpose of doing masters and PhD degree . After completing my course I will M.E-PhD degree from foreign universities because I have a great interest in the research field.

The fees s of our university is really very very low compared to other colleges except IT and CSE all other departments costs less than 6000? per year. Only CSE and IT charges 18000-22000 ? per year and that is also very low compared to other colleges. If you have financial issues then you can opt for several scholarship options like SVMCM, Jadavpur University's official scholarship programme and many others

The campus life of Jadavpur University is unbelievable you can't imagine how good it is unless you study here. Everything is really good and fine but there are a plenty of bad things that is you can see smoking every here and their and the culture of the universe is a mixed culture because all the students are come from different places and belongs from different culture so you will experience a mixed culture here which a very good thing. But some times you will see protests and other political problems here . Our university has several clubs like - Sports club Singing club Drama club Coding club Artistic club Cinematography club Hiking club Matha club Racing club Chess club Table tennis club Foot ball club Cricket club And the list is so long that I have also forgot. In our university sports plays a very major role because all the students must have to participate in different sports tournaments and other sports related curriculum

I had given the WBJEE entrance test. And scoring a good marks and good rank I got the opportunity to get admission in Jadavpur University. You have to fill up the application form from the official wbjee website and the dates are 1-31st January to submit your form and if you are a reserved candidate then you can get admission in this college by scoring a decent number or a decent GMR(GENERAL MERIT RANK) if you are a general candidate then you should study a little bit hard but the syllabus isn't that hard you have to go through from your 11-12 th text books very well and you have to focus on your maths because in this exam maths a really big criteria. And after clearing the exam you have to fill your choices in the portal and after that the college wants all the original documents and after completion of the verification process you will get the opportunity to study in Jadavpur University
