- Everyone around you wants to learn and is eager to learn from you as well and everyone is very helpful
- Every encourages sports activities and in the sports fest, a separate spot is kept for the girls to participate too.

- Infrastructure needs to improve a bit and the ground just needs to be maintained a bit, other than that, our university is a fine place to be at.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to pursue engineering from a young age and getting to pursue engineering in Jadavpur University is a treat in itself, as it is one of the finest institutions to study engineering in this country. I would say the faculty:student ratio is pretty decent and no problem occurs. Exams are pretty common and time to time take place in the university and moreover, one has to attend a minimum number of classes in order to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Many internships are provided at my Institution which include internships provided by many other IITs and many more. Eveybody here encourages the other to learn nee things and try out more in other fields.
Placement Experience
Jadavpur University offers one of the best campus placements in all of West Bengal, and even for lower branches, students of our university manage to secure a good offer in their placements. Moreover, maximum students get placed and the ones not placed are mainly entrepreneurs or want to pursue M. Tech( Master of Technology). There are very less candidates who do not fulfil placement criteria or don't get placed due to their lack of knowledge about their work.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is the best Institute to study engineering if there is any issue regarding the amount required to study engineering in general. Fees of general students is around 11,000/- to 12,000/- which is impossible for studying engineering in any other institution. Hostel fees is around 25/- which is crazy to think of even. And this is only for students with general category. Any reserved candidate basically gets to study for free and only needs money to stay and for food. Plus, institution provides many internships from which one can get sufficient stipends to base off.
Campus Life
Our Annual cultural fest is called Sanskriti and our annual tech fest is called Srijan, and it occurs usually in the month of March or April. Library has ample amount of different books of different genres and is a treat in itself. Classrooms also have all basic facilities but still I think some department buildings need some basic infrastructure improvements. Sports and campus life is of top notch here. You get a bunch of students everytime on the ground eager to learn and to share their skills and learnings in any sport. Plus one gets to play more or less every sport 2 times in the 1st year and at least once every year due to the occurrence of ARENA which is the annual sports fest of our university. Our university is full of social groups and clubs which are eager for newcomers and innovations.
Admission
To pursue Engineering in Jadavpur University, one has to first clear West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and has to secure a good rank in order to get admission in a good branch in the college. For Jadavpur University, there are also some different eligibility criterias for boards marks that can be found on the college's website itself. WBJEE application form can be found by searching "WBJEE application form" and the exam fees is 500/- and this year this exam will take place on the 28th of April, 2024. Reservation benefits are also available in the exam itself and during the counseling of the college also. But the WBJEE college counseling process is to complicated and a small mistake or slight error could cost one his/her full year, I would want this to change and want a more simple yet effective college counseling process.
