Remarks

The standards of syllabus and evaluation criteria appears to be getting diluted day-by-day. Not sure if that is happening consciously, and in that case there would surely be a reason behind that, but otherwise, senior faculty members must take a step back

Entrance Preview

Amrita University being a deemed university, it has it's own entrance exam, which would be on par with AIEEE entrance exam

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was on par with NIT syllabus. Rocking edge courses like cloud computing, soft computing etc., were offered as electives. The electives varied from theoretical papers like human computer interface to complete hands-on web centric programming.

Internships Opportunities

I had got internship in Infosys. The internship experience was fabulous and the learning that I got there would come a long way with me in my life. I was taught basics, and I was paid for it! How sweet!

Placement Experience

3.5

Companies ranging from top Fortune 100 companies like Amazon, Microsoft to cutting edge startups had come for placement. Over 95% of the candidates eligible for placement(no backlogs) had got placed. The salary ranged from 3 LPA to 17 LPA CTC depending on the company

College Events

2.5

College gives significant importance to cultural events and events like Gokulashtami, Guru Purnima, Shivarathri are celebrated in a large scale. There is a tech fest named ANOKA which serves as a platform to interact with top business leaders, students and other guests, which is truly a great exposure to Amrita students

Fee Structure And Facilities

For our batch, the tuition fees was around 1L PA and the hostel fees was around 50K PA. But one can be assured that college wouldn't collect a penny more than the fee structure laid down in the prospectus at the time of admission, the only exception being - annual bus fare was hiked by 1000 rupee as the petrol price was increasing at a high rate

Campus Life

3.5

As said in the title of the survey, the campus life would be a life time experience which one would surely cherish for the rest of their lives. May it be the scenic beauty of the mountains surrounding the college, or the thick flora and fauna within the sprawling 450 acre campus, or the sibling-like friends or the friend-like teachers, or whatever whatever.each of these would make the campus like a really memorable one. The student mix would be really diversified with students from varied geographic, economic, financial conditions would have come and study together as one team forgetting all the differences, which is a pleasant scene to see.

Hostel Facilities

4

In the first year, the rooms had to be shared by 4 students, in the second and third year, the rooms were double sharing, and in the final year, individual rooms were given. Though one cannot expect luxury in the hostels, the basic necessities would be ta

Alumni/Alumna

The alumini network is very strong although not stronger enough like the well-known BITS-alumini network. Amrita alumini could be seen in many of the top companies and in several reputed institutes offering higher education

Exam Structure

For all the theory papers, 60% weightage was given to continuous assessment and only 40% weightage was given to the end semester examination, and hence every class test/assignment was critical and had to be taken up very seriously. But it served us in the

Faculty

4.5

Most of the faculty members were either doctorates or were in their last lap to become doctorates. The best part in them was their individual care and attention they give to each student.
