What Students Say

Likes

Campus life and infrastructure is nice. People are a bit mean but that's how life really gets as you embrace adulthood ig :)
Hostel is nice and I've been able to live comfortably here thanks to that.
Placements are ofc the reason we're here right. Hopefully we all achieve that innocent dream we've been chasing :)

Dislikes

Mess food is not good. Wish it was a bit better
Fees is way too much for a BTECH degree . I just don't get what are they thinking they just hike the fees every year like it's a pretty fair thing.
I feel acemadic is indeed tough. Like why the hell they want us to make so much efforts in everything. The curriculum ie the Credits system is also a bit messed up ig but whatever. An engineer has to suffer anyways...

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is pretty challenging and fucks up your mental state. BEWARE: you will regret coming here if you want to chill out after your JEE journey. Right from sem 1, you'll have to work your ass off. I personally didn't find faculty that interesting, but I'm just in sem 2, so I haven't had much experience with profs. Some profs are nice but most of them have been mid, some worse ofc.

Class Size: 600Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are good enough and you can obv find details on the IIITD website. But you do have to maintain a good CGPA and done a couple few nice projects to get internships in nice Product based companies. SO yeah work hard , much more than an average person around you if you want an internship at companies like atlassian, google, goldman sachs, adobe , amazon, arcesium, Microsoft, oracle, Nvidia etc.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are nice and to get details you can go to the IIITD website. If you work hard and are in a cool branch you'll get placed with a nice CTC. That's pretty much all there is to it. I have plans to do masters in CS from nice uni after graduating ig but that is if I don't get a satisfactory placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very very very high, considering its a state university. But there are many scholarship opportunities indeed and you can find details on them on the IIITD website. But personally, imo if you come from a middle-class family, do make a good analysis of your finances before enrolling in this college cuz you know there are many additional expenses besides the tuition and hostel fees in the life of a college student.

Campus Life

3.5

I'd say the campus is nice. It feels calm and very pretty and interesting at night. Social life is okay ig. But ofc it is indeed a small campus. There are some pretty cool clubs and people are really cool there. Sports and extracurricular activities do occur pretty actively here though I haven't really explored that but well if you are that kind of person you can surely have fun.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel is pretty good. You are provided bed, almirah, desk and stuff. Washrooms are clean and there is fms for room cleaning in every 2 days.I find it pretty good considering the price. Mess food is mid. You are an outside Delhi person you'll def get the hostel and many Delhites also get the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 68000 per year

Admission

You get admission based on your JEE Mains rank, and if eligible you get an IIITD rank after adding bonus points. You have to apply for admission through the JAC counselling portal. All the details regarding application fees and dates are announced on the JAC portal after the JEE Mains result is declared. There are reserved seats for special sections like SC, ST, Women, PWD, KM, etc and bonus points if you have additional achievements in sports, olympiads, etc. The admission process is pretty flexible, in my opinion.

Other Applied Colleges

Indian Institute of Information Technology - [IIIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Information Technology Business Informatics)

I had already gotten admission in IIIT Delhi so I left IIIT Allahbad. Also Delhi was much closer to my home than Allahbad.

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

All over IIITD

I have applied in DTU and NSUT along with IIITD. i have got admitted both in DTU and NSUT in some branches but the branches i got there is Non CS and i have a very keen interest in computer scienece and the both of this college is ver far from my house. But in IIITD i have got Comptuter science and social science(CSSS) and this is very near to my house aprrox 10-15 km. The most preffered admission process in admitting IIITD is JAC Delhi counselling on the basis of JEE mains CRL rank. But in two branches i.e CSSS and CSD you can take admission on the basis of 12th Class percentage. you can see more info regarding this on the website of IIITD. But in the above the mentioned college there is 85% reservation for delhi region students and rest 15 % seats are for outside delhi region students....Read More
