Likes

The campus size and the facilities provided to students.
Our faculty advisors always push us to work hard and actually care about our placement.
Java (food court) in SRM is a lifeline when u get bored of mess food.

Dislikes

Too many students enrolled in Computer science engineering
Laundry service is kinda average so best do it yourself or choose any other laundromat
Occupancy in a single room is increasing yet the cost of the room isint

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Btech CSE W/S in Big Data Analytics as Data Science field seems to be growing and opens up lots of opportunities for job after graduation and even for higher studies. Almost every faculty in SRM is a PhD holder and is very well versed with their subject. Most of them are always ready to help students with their academic problems and are supportive.

Class Size: 62Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Numerous companies offer internships to students here like Wells Fargo, Samsung etc. And as far as the stipend is concerned in Samsung prism internship students get 50k if they complete 60% of the assigned project (as far as I know).

Placement Experience

I guess from third year students here get ready for campus placements and other internship opportunities. Tons of companies come here with various offers. The average package however offered here is around 5 lakhs per annum and the highest being claimed in 1.1 crore and this year I guess the highest package was 65 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I joined the course the fees for my course was 3.5 lakhs per annum, but after one year they hiked the fees by 50k. So right now I guess the fee per annum for CSE w/s in Big Data Analytics is 4 lakhs per annum. Total cost to study here in SRM including hostel is about 5 lakhs per annum. There are various scholarships provided to top scorers in SRMJEEE exam and also for top scorers in JEE.

Campus Life

The annual cultural fest is called Milan and is usually conducted in the month of Feb or March. The tech fest is named aarush. SRM has a huge three storey central library where literally all types of books are available at the disposal of the students. Classrooms are well lit with AC in them and also equipped with projectors. There are tons of clubs in SRM run by students which are very much active.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are equipped with basic facilities like study tables, chairs, cot and cupboard. Every hostel has two lifts. And some hostels have open area where students can play badminton and table tennis. Meals in mess are fine but are repetitive so one gets bored pretty quickly. The cheapest hostel costs around 1 lakh ig and the most expensive one 3.5 lakhs(approx)

Admission

The eligibility criteria for Btech course in SRMIST is to have secured atleast 60% aggregate marks in PCM (12th marks). The application form can be found on SRM's official website and the registration fee per attempt (phase) is usually 1200 rupees. The only thing that I wish was different is the mode of exam, currently it's Rempte Proctored Online Mode but would like to see the exam to be conducted in offline mode in designated exam centres.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Experienced faculties, their constant encouragement to students to participate in seminars, lectures, internships, intercollegiate programs and other research based conferences and activities.
The college had good infrastructure, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a slate clean campus.
The placement cell, incubation cell, and intellectual property cell of our college are easily approachable and they help in developing our ideas, patenting and registering them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum covers important subjects such as cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, bio processing, principles of chemical engineering, and wr have hands on practice through pur well-equipped laboratory sessions.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

My bad campus life

Likes

The environment is very good.its very natural atmosphere.
Teaching and facilitys are nice.we can learn very much.
The all facility is near by near .its a good thing.

Dislikes

The management is very bad.they not consider our students.
The fees structure is very different for all students.its too bad.and they decided the fees category is very cheep.
The hostel facility is not good.and also food its very bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually i like computer jobs. So i selected the course. Its very different one. Mainly programming. But its very interesting and valuable.cse computer science is a very high value course and i have lot of opportunities after completing the course. I.think in this types of course in curriculum they want to include practical sections more than text books.

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

Placement is very excellent in this college. Nearly all eligibility students get placed every year. Many recruiters are recruiting their employees through this college. The minimum package is 3 lakh per annum.

Paramedicals pros and cons

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
