Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course for the outstanding curriculum. 1:24 is the faculty ratio. All faculty members are Ex Software Developers who have worked in several MNCs Exams are taken almost thrice a month and are quite difficult.

Internships Opportunities

5

We haven't got any opportunities as of now because we are the first batch of this college. However our hopes are high. We'll have a year available for internships in our first year i.e from Jan 2025 - Dec 2026.

Placement Experience

5

There is no placement info as this is the first batch of the college. However, Scaler runs upskilling courses as well on Scaler.com and its average package is ~ 22 LPA. We also get internship opportunities in our 2nd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

There isn't any fee hike policy as such, not that I know of. I got coding scholarship on the basis of my achievements in field of CS. There are other scholarships as well including young women in code, excellent academics and family income level scholarship.

Campus Life

1

Social life at campus is pretty much repetitive and exhaustive, there isn't anything to do except studies (coding). There is no playground in the campus, though there is a sports arena where we can go for 2-3 hours on weekends via bus which isn't very great either. One thing is great that we get various gym subscriptions. There is almost little/no extra curricular activity.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are very nice and spacious. On every alternate day, cleaning is done. Mess food, I wouldn't is the best but its better than almost all the engineering colleges. Almirah, bed, mattress and pillows are provided.

Admission

Admission Process was quite smooth, there is an entrance exam ScalerNSET which consists of Logical Reasoning, Learnability, English. You can find the application on Scaler.com website. Only eligibility is that applicant must be a 12th passed.

Interview Experience

5

Post ScalerNSET clearance candidates are interviewed to access their communications skills and teamwork. Once the interviews are done, final decision comes within 30 days of the interview. After that candidates are placed into 3 categories - Accepted, waitlisted or rejected.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
