Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is up to the mark for the industry. It has been made in keeping mind what you have to do in the industry. In general colleges people after placement have to go through a training period. But here our 4 year count as experience and we don't have to go through any training period. The student ratio is 4:1:: male: female. They teach us directly on IDE like vs code and there we learn coding fundamentals. Even right now we are doing advanced DSA. The faculty is SDE-2 or more qualified and highly posted. Here, exams are taken in contests form just like codechef and other platforms. Contests happens fortnightly. And the level is pretty above average, as of like the student who is learning advanced DSA in 5th semester, you are learning that in your first semester. How cool is that !!

Internships Opportunities

5

Company such as Microsoft, Adobe, media.net, Flipkart, Amazon, tower, etc. The roles that they offer in their internship is software developer. Here we have done some of the projects such as image editor, web scrapper, snake game, tic tac toe, portfolio website, clock, etc. We have done these all in just 6 months here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike happens for the new batch that comes every year. They don't charge extra to us. They have fixed the fees at the time of addmission. The cost to study here is five lakhs per year. Excluding your extra expenses of going to cafe's and travelling, that's all is on you. Scholarship here based on your performance in the entrance exam that is NSET. And some extra criteria as given below: 1) your performance in JEE mains and advance: although it's not necessary to give JEE. Even you can come here after opting PCB also. 2) on the basis of your family income : if your family income is less than 8 lakhs then you can come under this criteria. 3) girl in the code : if you are a girl and coding since some time then you can get this scholarship. 4) brightest future : if you have been in Olympiads and scored well there then you can opt this. Talking about job placements, the average placement is 23lpa here.

Campus Life

4.5

Annual fest is called as RiseUp here. It held on December mid week. We had a large variety of activities there at the fest. Even went to pool and had some water activities also, ending with EDM night. We have a library here also with a huge variety of books. A single classroom have three huge projectors with four screens. We have a basketball ground and access to turf where we can play badminton, cricket. We have tennis table in our hostel. We have a life at sst channel at insta which is run by the students of sst of media team.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We are provided by a bed with metress and a cupboard and fully furnished room. Meal is better than the other hostels with a variety of food. But there is no sweet in the menu. When you come here for accomodation, you just have to sign on an app for the registration and simple a form filling will be done. I didn't rented a room because scaler provides a residential program.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
