Remarks

There are very minor bad remarks about the college about its management. They try to manage everything but are unable to due to more population of students. Otherwise, it is the best institute to study

Entrance Preview

I took the VITEEE entrance exam and achieved rank 669. That was the proudest moment for me and my parents. I had worked very hard for this exam. They didn't give my marks, but directly announced marks. I then did some research on VIT and got the information that it was the topmost private college according to NIRF Govt. rankings.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college provides us with internships after the completion of the second year. Many companies come to VIT for internships. I don't have an idea of a stipend, but it generally depends on the companies which come here.

Placement Experience

5

Placement opportunities for Computer Science and Engineering students are highest. Best placement comes for them. Minimum of 5 lakh package to 30 lakh package. Many companies come for placements. From big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, etc. to small companies all come. Many companies like TCS also take students as mass recruiters.

College Events

4.5

There are two types of events celebrated in VIT. One is a technical event called Gravitas and the other is a cultural event called Riviera. There are many clubs in VIT. Many clubs hold their individual events at different timings. Gravitas generally is held in October and Riviera in February. Many famous celebrities come during Riviera.

Fee Structure And Facilities

VIT is a private college. It is an expensive college till the resources provided here are not wasted by students. As I said I achieved a 25% scholarship due to my rank (which is between 101 to 1000). Similarly, they provide 50% scholarship to students with rank 11-100 and 75 % to students with rank 1-10 in VITEEE. They also provide monetary prizes to students who perform well in academics and sports or any other extracurricular activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college provides scholarships for students whose parents' income is less than 1 lakh. As mentioned they also provide the scholarship to students who perform well in college and in VITEEE. I got a 25 % scholarship due to my good rank.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good over there. Students from all over India as well as from outside India. Girls to boys ratio are less here. They encourage students for extracurricular activities. They have well-maintained labs and sports amenities. They have many gyms and a big ground for sports. They hold many competitions and many clubs and chapters over there hold workshops and competitions for students.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel rooms are well maintained. There are 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed, 4 bed and 6 bed AC and Non-AC rooms. Each hostel building is provided with washing machines. Each hostel has security guards. Boys and girls hostels are different and far. There are in times and out times for students. UG and PG students live in same buildings, but different rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and seniors over there are of very great importance and they do their role effectively. They help us with any problems we occur over there. There is no sense of ragging. VIT makes students fill the anti-ragging form after their admission. Instead, they help us with our needs.

Exam Structure

I one full semester, VIT conducts 3 exams for each subject for theory and one lab practical for subjects which practical is applicable. Two mid-semester exams called Continuous Assessment Test (CAT) take place and one final exam called Final Assessment Test (FAT) is also held. For some subjects exams are given on digital pads and for some it is pen and paper. Many subjects have project component in which students are given project in relation to the subject. All these are combined and marks as well as grades are provided in subject. This gives us our CGPA.

Admission

As I mentioned, I got rank 669, I was of category 1 out of 5 categories with a 25 percent scholarship. All the forms were online and they put the procedure online to fill the form. First of all, they called us for orientation in which with my parents to VIT. VIT has instituted at 4 places: Vellore, Chennai, Amravati, and Bhopal. We went to VIT Bhopal. There I had to select my course and the place I want to do that course. I chose Computer Science and Engineering B. Tech. (4 years course) at VIT, Vellore. Then after that admission fee submission as well as hostel fee submission was done online from home.

Faculty

4

Faculty in VIT are from best to worst. There are many faculties, who are master of their field of study and teach very well. Most of the teachers have south Indian accent in their speech, which makes tough for students to understand some things. Overall, faculties are good here.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
