Overall the Shyam Lal College of Delhi University is very good and I love this college a lot and I really want to recommend this college to everyone

Entrance Preview

I took admission in this college via CBSE 12th board exams and I have score 78% in it I of this particular college because because it is near to me it is almost two kilometres from my house and it is easily available whenever I will get late the admission process is why online and then I have to submit my documents during counselling and then I got admission in BA programme course

Course Curriculum Overview

BA programme course is a good course which includes history,political science,English, human rights etc. It consists very good scope in Literature and other job scopes it allows good reading habit and learning experience which is good for education system

No, our college does not provide internship actually it consists the owners and bachelor and masters degree education which includes graduation and post graduation

In my knowledge, there are good placement and job opportunities from Shyam Lal College Delhi University as I heard from my senior students that there are good packages and companies are ready to take the students who have studied in Delhi University especially Shyam Lal College

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible and a little bit at cheap my fees of 3 months is only 6950 rupees which are somehow cheap fees which allows the poor peoples to come to the college and study the higher studies with no expensive fees even all the Delhi University colleges are reasonably cheap or feasible fees conducted

No, I didn't know about any scholarship or loan facility offered by our college because I am here and took admission through 12th CBSE board as I have scored 78% in pcmb

Campus Life

Campus life is very good all the boys and girls are compatible to each other there are no any gender issues gender ratio is somehow 60 40% of boys and girls respectively but there are things that the sports competitions are not held regularly till now due to the exam timings and semester timetables

after completing my 12th in which I have scored 78% marks the Delhi University online admission process is held on Delhi university official website in which I submitted my documents and fill the application form to take admission and fill the choice of top 5 colleges in which I want to take admission

Faculty

The faculty of my college is very good and intelligent they are well qualified and they helped me a lot sometimes it feels that they are not our teachers but they are our family members as they taught us very good moral values too all the teachers are really helpful regarding doubt and clearance which allows us to score good marks in semester exam.

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Honest review of ddu

Likes

The teaching faculty is really nice and polite. They usually help students even when u contact them after college hours.
The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the thought of learning about the literature of the older times was pretty exciting to me while I was choosing the course. The curriculum however does prepares you if you want to continue ur academic journey in the English field.

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

I got admission in this college from CUET exam. I have selected many colleges of delhi university in cuet and according to my marks in cuet i got this college. DU life is better than any other college life

It depends on the merit list and the entrance exam that is CUET. The merit list is declared on the DU website. I searched for it on the collegedunia website and other websites. Application fees for UR-500 Rs. and OTHER-250 Rs. The admission process is quite similar to other colleges of DU. And I chose the BA program, so my eligibility criteria were a 12th pass in any stream. Firstly I registered myself at DU through the official website of DU. Then I waited for the cut-off and I got selected in 2nd cut-off.
