- Campus is very green and big and has very good facilities of grounds and restaurants
- Classrooms and lab facilities are good and have good infrastructure

- Clubs and professors from SAC are biased towards odia people
- Grounds and other facilities like swimming pools are very low in number
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering. It is a four-year course. The curriculum is not outdated but not the latest one. It can be updated in terms of new technologies and syllabi. Lab practicals are interactive and good. Teaching methods are outdated as some of the professors are old. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate and depends on the subject and professor. Some professors teach very well, but some dont.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies like Microsoft, American Express, VISA, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm etc visited campus and offered good amount of stipends for many students. Students can make projects based on the branch they are in. Campus allows 2 months and 6 months internships as well.
Placement Experience
From final year students are eligible for campus placements with no backlogs and ISDC complaints. Students get placed in good companies and it depends on the branch. Campus placement percentage is good. Some people may opt for higher education as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete cost for one semester is around 1lakh rupees. It includes everything like hostel, education, service and other fees. The fee is a bit high compared to other NITs. There are many scholarships and financial aids available for students of low-income families and sc/ st. Stipends are given to MTech students if they work as TAs
Campus Life
There are four fests mainly. That includes INNOVISION, VRIDDHI, COSMOPOLITAN, and NITRUSTAV. The fests are average and are not organised at a NIT level. The books in library is of wide range but most of them are old. The amount of copies are not sufficient for students. Classrooms have ACs and good lighting but benches are very small and are uncomfortable. Sports clubs and other social clubs are run by odia people. They induct only based on region in most clubs.
Hostel Facilities
2 students are given a single room. The rooms depends on the hall. Some halls have big rooms and some halls have small ones. In SD, VS, MV halls students are given single occupancy room to 2 students. Rooms have fan, lan port and light with 2 beds and tables. Meal quality is average. Hostel fee is affordable.
Admission
I wrote JEE Mains exam. I got this college through Josaa counselling. After getting the college, I filled application form which asked information like class X marksheet, class XII marksheet. The application process was smooth and convenient. For every semester we have Mid semester exams and end semester exams. Mid sem exam is 2hr long and end sem exam is 3hr long.
