Remarks

Overall the college is great to study at. The management is very helpful too.

Entrance Preview

I choose Deshbandhu college because it offers my choice of subject which is BSC h biochemistry. Other than that it has great faculty and very well experienced teachers. The college canteen is awesome with great meals. It has many auditoria for the different kind of gatherings. Above all, I liked the teaching skills of the teachers. They were very knowledgeable.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is very good. The candidate gets in touch with all the subjects required to pursue higher education. In my course, we had 5 subjects each year. The 1st year had statistics also along with physics, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and Biochem.

Internships Opportunities

During our time there was no such internship, at least for my course. Although the govt has introduced many scholarships in the last few years for bright students. Students can inquire about and apply for the same.

Placement Experience

3.5

my course did not offer any placements. Although hardworking and lucky students got placed in many reputed companies, but not because of college-related placements. Maybe for commerce students, there may be some placements. That can be found in the current prospectus of a particular college.

College Events

4.5

Deshbandhu college organizes an annual festival called sabrang where students get together and enjoy in the college ground. During my time, Ashok Masti, A Punjabi singer, came as a guest singer and he rocked the stage with his amazing songs. We all enjoyed the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. It is at a very cheap rate. I submitted the first-year fee at Rs 3300, the second-year fee as Rs 4000 and final year fee as Rs 5000 because the final year has many practicals, so the rise the fee a bit. Although this is a very low fee compared to any other private college.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my college time, there was no scholarship or loan facility provided by this college, although there may be introduced any new.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is amazing. students can hang out outside the college which is a posh area. The gender ratio is almost equal. Diversity is there as the college offers almost all types of courses. Extracurricular activities are performed routinely by the sports club. The lab is very well equipped. There are many inter-college competitions.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In-house mess facility is not there in Deshbandhu college because it is a very small college area wise. Although many students live in a nearby location which are kalkaji, Alaknanda, tughlakabad, and tara apartment. many students can share their room with fellow mates.

Alumni/Alumna

Many successful people have attende deshbandhu college. one such example is raghuram of roadies. The college is also known for its Hindi department.

Exam Structure

During my time, we had yearly exams, although sessional tests and monthly presentations were also there. They conduct the exams in a very smooth manner and inside the campus only. you get around 2-3 days to break to prepare for the next exam. I think now they have maintained a semester system.

Admission

I did not get addmission in 1st and 2nd cutt off. I saw 3rd cutt off in HT newspaper. Then I went to college counter and purchased Rs 500 prospectus containing all the details about all courses and admission procedure. Inside the prospectus, the application form was attached. I filled the form and submitted to biochemistry department along with all the documents required. They gave us receipt and around 10 days later I joined deshbandhu college (morning).

Faculty

4.5

This is the thing which I most liked about my college. The faculty supported us throughout our tenure at Deshbandhu college. The faculty was quite young and enthusiastic and their method of teaching was amazing. It is because of those teachers that I am able to pursue my Ph.D. now.

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
