Course Curriculum Overview

I did my graduation in this respective course, so i chose the same for my pg as well. As i chose a central university, i hope it will raise my possition compared to others and also the acdemically and teaching methods are good. We get enough time for exams. It depends on each students about management of time.

Class Size: 32Course Fees: INR 16000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For MA initially the fee would be nearly 13000 for 1 sem, including admission fee. They are not charging extra amount for any other things. There are national and state level scholarships available.Amount will be depends on schemes, our course fee, type of scholar and category and income.

Campus Life

There are national seminars, placement camps, academic activities and discussions. 'Ankur' is the cultural and sports fest. They are providing facilities for extra curricular activities. Each department conducts their respective fests.

Hostel Facilities

There are 5 girls hostel. Each one is different in structure. In my hostel it is little bit small but has a balcony, separate toilet and washroom. Some of hostels have common washroom. It's hard to adjust with the food. Electronic gadgets are not allowed. Hostel admission is run by DSW office, nothing to do with departmaent.

Hostel Fee: INR 14000 per year

Admission

Admission through Cuet exam conducting by NTA. Application date is over. Exam will be conducted in March. No specified cut off, varies according to avilable seats. Don't loose hope, chances will be there. Be ready with needed document's. Reservation is according to the category they are belongs to. Last time, the people with low marks also got admission. The admission process should be earlier, if they want to change the university, most of them are not getting refund as well.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester where you have to do an internship project for the semester based Most of the companies that visit are from the news organisations like Bangalore Times, The Hindu, Mint, Times of India, Deccan Herald and other companies like ITC also visit frequently. I am not quite sure about the packages offered.

The Best College for Education

Likes

The quality of the education is very good though it is a government college.
The fees of the courses are affordable for the poor with very good education system. And the faculties of the college were very good and friendly that they will be available at any time for the students.
In the infrastructure facilities are good like very good library, play ground, class rooms, canteen, washroom, projectors.

Dislikes

In PG section poor quality of drinking water.
Water problems in summer season, Less resources .
Should be more disciplined in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose economics because it is very much relevant to the present generation as well as the previous. As economics needs analytics skills it prepares for current world. Exams were every 3-4 months frequently and it is not difficult to pass.

Use of slides, ppt, and other engaging sessions like talk shows and guest lectures
Clean campus, books are easily available in libraries. Frequent programs to engage students.
Good faculty members, specially english department

Placement Experience:

By the end of the 2nd semester, we are constantly notified about any vacancies in any department. The college placement cell sends us notifications through our class monitors or sometimes throyoutlr HOD. Even after the end of our final semester exam, we are added in a group that is specially meant for job opportunities and placements, where they constantly update and notify us. Out of 32 students in our class, a total of 12 students got placement. As for me, my plan is to do PhD in the said field.

Life of Bangalore University in 2 years

Likes

Campus is verh beautiful with lots of greenary
Professor with wide range of knowledge , most of the professor are PhD holders
Make students do presentation which helps in future

Dislikes

Class rooms should be updated like benches, floor
Washroom are not top notch , doors are not good
Lunch period is 1hr which is too much, which we don't want that much time to have have lunch

Being a literature student we study more theory then the practical they should be a practical improvements in the department which is related to literatures The curriculum prepared us to the real world because you are studying politics social and gender patriarchal everything connects us to the real world I am very happy with the choosing this of course

The faculty here is amazing and up to the mark. The infrastructure and hostel building is new.

Dislikes

Too many luxuries, I feel are provided. Campus is in an isolated place.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not as strong if compared to TISS. A few good organizations also come like reliance foundation, pradan and azim premji foundation and FES. Around 90% people get placed every year. My plan after this course is Phd.

Our college was quite good in teaching and extra curricular activities.The teachers were very helpful and friendly.The college was very active in all the extra curricular activities.But they didn't have job opportunities or placement opportunity.

I applied for a few Central University based on my entrance marks. But i couldn't able to make into other colleges due to shortage of marks. When i got selected into this university, the first thing that attracted me was, the varied section of students which gives a platform to explore about various cultures.
