Course Curriculum Overview
B. Com. Hons. course, although is a bit traditional, but it is quite apt in the current system too. It really prepares people well for the real world situations that are present in business world. It also complements well with Masters in Business Administration too. Maybe new technologies can be implemented in the curriculum to improve the efficiency. Courses like FinTech can be implemented.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities at Sri Venkateswara college, or DU in general, is quite good. A lot of companies are usually on a hunt to hire students from DU colleges. Good colleges often attract good packages too.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fee for the 3 years was around 40000 rupees. It was including all the charges. There is a good chance of employment from on-campus placements. The placement system is quite good in the premier institutes.
Campus Life
DU is full of campus life. Everywhere you go you will see vibrant faces roaming around, full of energy and enthusiasm. There are a lot of fests that happen, a lot of societies that are present. On campus, you can find a plethora of such opportunities.
Admission
Getting admission in Delhi University required (at that time) the Boards Examination percentage. It was solely merit based. However, there is CUET admission test now that takes place. Cutoff at that time used to be around 95-98% for top DU colleges. I think the current system of admission test is fairer than the earlier merit based system.
