Remarks

I have a good memory of my College. The infrastructure improved since then, also the management is quite good and helpful

Entrance Preview

Kalindi College is one of the reputed colleges under Delhi University. It offers wide varieties of courses and also the college is around 10 minutes walking distance from Rajendra Place metro station and Infrastructure and locality is quite good. Fees are affordable too.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is well defined. I enrolled in the course Physical Sciences with main subjects being Mathematics, Physics and computer sciences. The course is defined to study the non-living systems. Elective subjects were Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, English and Environmental science.

Internships Opportunities

Around the time I attended college, no internship was provided. And the companies came for the placement were like Genpact, Accenture, Times group.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements have been improved since then. The placement cell provides various training to students for interviews. It is conducted for third-year students. Companies like Accenture, Genpact, Times group comes for the placement. The package offered is generally between 1.8L to 3.2L per annum.

College Events

3.5

Orientation is conducted for new joiners and freshers party is held for the first years. Every year a 2-3 days long fest is also held around February and Farewell for the last year students. Fest has different kinds of activities usually ending with a concert from some band. Diwali Mela is also conducted every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible, as you need to submit fee yearly which can range from 5 to 15k depending on the courses. And have to pay examination fees semester wise which would be around 1-2k. So all in all the fee is quite low and affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided to students who are top scorer. But not sure regarding the loan facility. You can ask the admin department regarding the same.

Campus Life

4.5

As its a female college so cannot say much about gender ratio, but if you talk about faculty then the gender ratio is quite balanced. The campus life can be hectic sometimes, but all in all its enjoyable. Abundant of extracurricular activities are there, like music, drama, NCC, sports etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

As I belong to Delhi, so I am not quite aware of the Hostel Facilities and mess food. But the food in the college cafeteria is above average and have enough varieties to choose from. But PG can be found around the college campus easily and the rent can be like 6 to 10k depending on the facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network and senior students are very helpful. Its easy to arrange notes and books with the help of senior students.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted semester wise, in the college itself. Most of the exams are conducted in the morning shift and would be 3 hours duration. Exams schedule is not hectic as you will be getting a day or two gaps between each exam. And same with the lab exams, they are conducted in College labs only.

Admission

Admissions to most Delhi University courses are merit-based. You need to fill a common entrance form and submit the form accordingly regarding the course you want to pursue. Then cut off is uploaded colleges and courses wise in Newspapers, Delhi University sites, and every college sites. You can then go to the particular college if you fall under the cut-off and submit the application and documents for admission.

Faculty

4.5

College Faculty is quite good. The professors are very knowledgeable, motivating and encouraging. Even the admin department is quite helping with general queries regarding different procedures. The principal is always there to listen to students grievances.

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
